Hi Queen of String - good to hear from you! Where are you moving to? I moved from the UK to France in March (and still trying to get organised and feel settled!). Good luck, wherever you are going! Emigrating sounds further away than moving, so I guess you are going to Australia?

As far as where to send the things you have made; Preemies UK will take baby items, and so will Loving Hands, who will also take the lap rugs. If you look on the very first post on this thread, Maytaurus has put a link (#964) which has all the relevant addresses.

Hi to everyone - I've just found this while browsing (when I should be working!) - it's really cute!

loving hands would im sure welcome the full sized baby items for their latest challenge they are after all sized for the orphanages, and as kathy says they would also find a use for the lap rugs

i must get the stripey jumper sewn together so i at least have something to put on next weeks totals

i hope the move goes well, where are you going to?

DON - do you want me to list your blanket as 'baby' or 'pet'?

Hi Kathy, I think it will possibly be better suited as a pet blanket as it is a slightly odd length! :o But I will leave it upto you when you I send it as to what it should be used for. Thanks very much though!

Don - if it's in baby wool that's soft to the touch, I don't think a baby will mind if it's an odd length. I'll put it as a baby blanket because that's what you intended. It's probably lovely and you are worrying too much!

    Evening everyone
Have just been doing some more to my SANDS blanket - and as I was about to put it down because my hand was cramping I noticed I dropped a stitch about 4 rows back . Serves me right for watching rubbish on the telly while I'm doing it!
Hope to finish the main square part tomorrow night but it depends how long it takes me to rip it back and get the stitches the right way round....
Hey ho, tomorrow is another day Scarlett.
    Hope everyone is well x

I'm 29, live in North Yorkshire with my husband, three children (four, two and seven months) and I've just learned to knit so I'm on squares for the moment although I'd love to progress to teddies! So glad I found this thread, you all sound lovely and I'm looking forward to sending my first blanket off!
