Morning all, hope that you are well and chirpy - despite the weather. i was looking forward to the heavy showers that were predicted, and kept on waking up in the night to hear them, however, the best we had was light drizzle, so i think its back to watering the veggie patch today.

am treating myself to an hour of trying our the crocheted bunting pattern today (looks okay) and then a little "stock take" of what i have so that i can visit my local wool shop and also place a little order with kemps.

by the way, with regard the crocheted blanket for our neighbour in france, any ideas on the size (the baby will be 3 months old when she gets it) and what the idea wool would be?

time to get ready for the gym and getting rid of some of that excess "baggage" picked up in france.

another drain on my time is ive started doing a cross stitch of a killer whale for my dad an step mums 25th wedding anni in dec (if i dont start it now it will never get completed.

Hi everyone.

DPixie - sorry that people in France are letting you down. It does seem to be par for the course, I'm afraid. Having said that, when we bought our house four years ago, we needed a fosse septique, new re-wiring, new concrete floors and central heating, and they all went really smoothly. Since we've actually moved in, all that has changed and it's not unusual to be let down. The worst of it is that the people letting you down just don't seem to think it's anything to worry about! It drives me mad. but my DH is starting to 'live with it' as he puts it! I haven't got that much patience. It seems the artisans are the worst of all - what doesn't get done today MAY get done tomorrow! I hope it all gets sorted out for you soon.

Well, I'm going to start the update now - as long as there's no thunder and lightening, which means I will have to disconnect my Livebox! It's pouring with rain again today, so no temptation to get out in the garden. Still, my tomatoes and lettuces are doing really well!

Hi everyone, not been on here for a while. Sent a big pile of stuff to loving hands before xmas though :-). I'm emigrating soon so have been having a big push on finishing all my UFOs. Looks like I will have 4 baby blankets/lap rugs and a couple of items of (full size) baby clothing, have looked at post one, but couldnt see anyone who was collecting these things atm. Does anyone know where I could send them
