Thanks to everyone who offered sponsorship for the Race for Life.
Fortunately the weather stayed fine and my sister and I managed to get round in 55 minutes (with two 7 year olds in tow who did very well). This was a little slower than we usually manage, but its the finishing that matters and not the time.
Once again, thanks to everyone for the support.

I think the rest of the afternoon will be spent with feet up and possibly some knitting!!

Well done Linedancerann! Thanks for your pm.

PurpleTeddyBear - can't wait to hear how the christening went.

    Maytaurus - lovely post again!

Chalky - have a good day tomorrow!

Thanks for all the updates - I shall total them up tomorrow.

The weather here has been a mixture of bright sunshine, then dark clouds, and it's been really windy, too. Still, I managed to get the washing dry.

I'm settling down early with my wool tonight. No TV here yet, apart from DVDs so I'll have to find one to watch. I will definitely finish my ripple blanket tonight. I'm pleased with it but it seems to have taken forever and I shall be glad to do smaller things again, starting with those lovely ballet slippers!

Anyway, have a lovely evening, everyone.

    Hi Pips Mum -
Just flying by - as far as I remember, the number of purl ridges is what the pattern designers reckon you will have by the time you get to the right length - so, if you're doing the fist size to 10", you should have done 28 rows (14 ridges), or to 12" should be 32 rows.

Personally, I'd stick to the lengths specified as the 10" for the smaller size and the 12" for the next size (or whatever lenght you think looks best!)

    Hope this helps -

    Dawn xx
