hi maytaurus, i remember doing that too, and i agree with kathy, never has rain looked so good.
absolutly pouring it down here, and forcast same for tommorrow, and we are going to the coast for the day, it isnt often we spend sundays with bf, as he works shift, and adores rugby on his sundays off, so we are going to make the most of it whatever the weather.
afraid i havent done much charity knitting this week, as i have a couple of projects on the go for myself, not knitted for myself in over 20 years, so hoping they fit well, as i am so tall i have to alter patterns

hugs for everyone who needs or wants them

:j:j Me too !! I remember it well - oohh my aching arms.....

persistently raining here as well - shame I can`t go out and plant my begonias and pansies - wonder what I could do instead :think: . Maybe have to look out the wool and needles eh ?

Off out for a while with DH, maybe a bit brighter where we are going.

    See you later.

  • Maytaurus - I am still doing hanks of wool.....and I was never allowed long hair or plaits cos I have that really curly whirly hair (my sister had them tho'). I have the long hair now tho' and I do the hanks on the back of the kitchen chairs.
Love the rain......I can smell it just from your picture.
Good luck for the christening tomorrow - I will take the rain for you, so I hope you get a good day for it.
I am trying to get some more sewing and knitting done so that I have something to post for my weekly totals, so hope to be back later.
You all have a great day - its only rain after all.

hi ladies - yes raining here and i am very cold brrrrrrrrrrrr - the weather changing has made me feel a bit blurgh really dont feel up to much at all - i have my self in a situation with three/four things started again so am determined to finish those off this weekend - (and she says in a whisper get a parcel off to shezmit ha ha)

I used to hold the wool for the lady i used to live next door like that - that was 4 years ago and was not an 'addict' then - we still keep in contact and she is thrilled that i now knit but thinks it a shame we no longer live next door - she knits preemie bits and takes them to her hospital - they kindly allowed her to see the babies recently - she was over the moon and really touched - the mums that were there were very appreciative of her work and she was thanked and hugged no end - it is such a shame she never married and had children she adores children (and dogs!) - she is a lovely lady

maytaurus - love the post/pics - i still have not posted again on freecycle have you? - how are you at the moment?

well its f1 race weekend - just watched qualifying with son - hubby at work - race tomorrow - i had better go and get lunch (running late.......)
hugs and best wishes to all and even though its dull outside hope everyones lives are getting or are a little brighter than they have been of late xxxxxx

ps any news on the 'knitting retreat' - my bags are packed - 1x carrier wool - 1x carrier undies - 1x carrier hair straigtners (hair a bit wild!) and smellies - please let me know soon cant wait any longer :rotfl::rotfl:

pps hair used to be like the little girls but a bit more wild and fluffy on top!

I remember doing that as well , and yes, with the same hairstyle!!! Happy days!!!
Not very nice here this morning, but the sun is trying to get through now. At least its stopped raining. Hope it stays fine tomorrow as I am doing the Race for Life (for Cancer Research). This will be the fourth time I've done it and we've always been lucky and had a nice day. (I'm not running it, just walking). Its usually a very emotional day but if makes you feel that you are doing something worthwhile - just like the knitting.
    Wish me luck.

Hi Ann - I hope the weather improves for your run tomorrow - well done you! Do you have a sponsorship website? I usually support this cause but you're the first person I've come across in this years race.
