Thanks very much Purple and thanks Pam too!
yes please Pam! that would be great if you wouldn't mind pm'ing me a copy?? Thanks very much!
I can crochet squares etc but when it comes to making things, I haven't done anything except blankets. But these slippers seem like a good place to start and they are really pretty, will make a good little present as I seem to have lots of friends having lots of babies just now!
Donna
Hi Donna - I can email a copy to you, not able to pm an attachment! I will add some details for the stitches - there is a decrease later in the pattern you may need help with!
PM me your email and I'll send you a copy tomorrow.

Hoping everything gets sorted with the hospital & that you don’t have to wait much longer
It must be awful for all of you

I agree about the addiction cure up to a point ......
re;’ Perhaps there is some retreat we could all take ourselves to and have immersion therapy?’
How about some place for relaxation & pampering therapy instead ...
So we can all be refreshed ready to do more knitting/crochet etc
Re;
chalky 75 ‘Jean it depends how quickly you can turn that barn into the "Priory" for knitters !
You could charge 10 balls of wool for entrance fees and then you would have ven more !!!
I think we would be a very quiet, well behaved lot all you would hear is ckickety click !!’
You wouldn’t even here that if we were crocheting !
Don’t give up on ssh you know what!!
re;‘I would still have to clear that barn too – YUK’
I volunteer to help if it gets you your horsey!! (oops)

Sorry you were disappointed with Readicut
I agree with Kathy, I would email them & express your disappointment.
After all it’s not good for their business if they mess people about and you could tell them that (‘hundreds of knitters you are in contact with’) will be unlikely to give them any custom if they cannot be relied upon to deliver the correct items
I think it would be a much better idea just to tell customers they can’t supply their order, rather than send out some random wool which is of no use
Thinking of you & our son :heartsmil

Of course none of those things apply to moi!
Pippa.S
Of course we missed you but we knew where you were
Glad you were pleased with your van
Hope you have a lovely time with your DGS, ENJOY HIM AS MUCH AS YOU CAN
Cos they grow up fast & time goes by so quickly,
my DGS will be 14 yrs at the end of this month :eek:
As shazrobo says ‘they are so cute at that age, pity theyu have to grow up lol.’
I still think my DGS is cute though, just in a more grown up good-looking way and we can always have a laugh talking to him about him when he was ‘ickkle’ :rotfl:
re; ‘Be good’ .... I am ...... but it’s never got me anywhere!!

Hope everything goes well for the christening :j:j

Hi everyone. Maytaurus - great post and piccies; you always get the day off to a good start! Those ballet slippers have gone down really well with everyone, haven't they?

Hi everyone,
hope you are all well. I've been busy the last few days and have just caught up with all your news.
Chalky - you have summed us all up in one post, I am definately an addict and proud to be one, not sure I want to be cured yet.;)
LC - sorry to hear the ops been put off again, it's really awful that they treat people in this way. Hope it all gets sorted soon.
Pippa - glad you had a lovely time on your hols, dgs sounds gorgeous all you want to do is hug them to bits at that age.
Well I'm off to make a cuppa and attempt some crochet, sprained my wrist yesterday putting my new sideboard together (don't you just love flat pack?) Fingers crossed I can manage some as I didn't get a chance yesterday at all and my little balls of wool are calling and my fingers are itching, wish me luck.:D
Big hugs to you all, keep smiling:j. xx:jWooligans Totals 2010:

hi purple, the knit and natter group is held in castleford, and the wool shop is only a 5 min walk away from there, and it is floor to ceiling with wool, and the ladies who work there are lovely, when i bought my wool yesterday, i explained one lot of it was for a pattern that used similar thickness wool, but as it wasnt exactly as pattern stated amounts might be different, and she has put some to one side for me, in case i need to buy more at a later date :T
best wishes for the christening on sunday
shaz xenjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)0 -
Late one for me tonight--- called into work today -- My first day in 20 months !!!!!! DOH drove me in the sunshine bus and laughed as I went in ! Anyway I am shattered now I had so forgotten how tiring it is. Funnily enough the first thing I did when I got home was to have a cup of tea and the next to pick up my crochet and knitting --- That has now been joined by a small beer !!
Purple Teddy-- Good luck with the christening it sounds as if you have worked so hard.
Tight As - Hope you are OK after the wedding last weekend > I know I went through every emotion the week after my sons. Calmed down now!!
Best wishes to everyone for a happy weekend. Special thoughts to anyone with problems or feeling down and happy congratulations to all those celebrating. Good wishes to our Francophiles !!
Try and do a good deed every day.0 -

Maytaurus - I remember doing that, and with the same hairstyle, too! Shows how old I am! I loved the other piccie, too - never has rain looked so good!
MIA yesterday afternoon and most of the evening - we were invited to a new friend's house - she breeds Tonkinese cats, which are gorgeous (google Tonkinese for info and pics - they are really affectionate cats that think they are dogs!). At 400 euros each, I don't think I'll be getting one soon! I had three sat on my lap at one go, but not one of them was small enough to sneak out in my handbag!
