Thanks Kathy. I'm here... eventually!
Internet went down on SaturdayA lot of hair tearing with the tech department, and it was decided the fault wasn't on my end. Guy came out Monday noon - took him about 1 minute flat to decide it was at the exchange, so off he went. He was good though, and phoned to say it was a part gone down which was effecting a good few people (shame the techies hadn't checked that in the first place ). Anyway up and running again this morning.
Mam is doing quite well, although she went bright yellow again for a few days . They have brought her scan forward 3 weeks to Thursday. So Alan goes in for his back operation, then mam has her scan, and half an hour later Lawrence has his scan. Best to get so much out of the way in one go I suppose
Obviously didn't get a chance to update so I'll do it all this next weekend. Finished the 2 cribs for Zaki's nursery and am on doing crochet blankets at the minute. Will be moving on to some boobs for shelly when I can push myself to pick up those size 10 needles.
Hope everyone is well, and can't wait to see wedding pics.

Hi all. K2tog and Linedancerann - I've corrected the mistakes in the update. Thanks for telling me about them.
L C Wilson - good to hear from you. I know what it's like to be without the computer, what with having to wait five weeks for connection here, and a major crash last year in the UK. You don't realise how much of a lifeline it is, until you're without it.
I'm glad your Mum is doing quite well; I suppose you're right about getting all the ops and scans out of the way quickly. Best of luck to everyone.
Well, I'm hoping to get my ripple blanket finished tonight, then I shall concentrate on buntings and so on. I was trying to do preemie things in between doing the blanket, but the blanket has won - simply because it's getting quite weighty now and taking up a lot of room on the sofa!
Hope you all have a good evening.

Hi maytaurus thanks for the pic of the wool. I found some cream cotton which I used to follow a pattern, think I need to make the pattern a bit bigger because the hat came out suitable for a 5 or 6 yr old! LOL! it's ok though, good practice run!
The yarn I used was a Tivoli Cruise Aran which said it is 100% cotton so I think it will be suitable, I just need to make a bigger size.BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0 -
Gosh it is quiet around here -- hope all ok and people are busy and happy not down
Well I have a lap blanket beside me on a crochet hook so no hedgehogs hiding anywhere. Still working my way through the freecycle wool and lots is 4 ply so I am doubling it up to crochet with.
Don67-- Good luck with the hat adjustments -- I am sure it will be great.
L.C Wilson-- Hope things go well with all the scans and ops.
Weather still gorgeous here and we are walking nephews dog for them at the moment and it is great.
Well off to watch all things Apprentice and keep the crochet hook whirling . Have good evenings everybodyTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Hi Chalky and everyone else. I think we've all been making the most of the good weather today! I've had a lot of online work to do, so that's kept me busy for most of the day, then I spent the afternoon in the garden. I'm just about to sit down with my crochet.
I hope everyone is well and enjoying the good weather.

Hi peeps
Well, what a glorious weekend we had & what a change yesterday – like a different season wasn’t it – though it was better for housework (yuk)!:rotfl:
Mum is doing well – she told me yesterday that she really enjoyed her breakfast – toast marmalade & juice, she had eaten lunch but she didn’t know what it was (meat & green veg are all the same to her she can only ever remember carrots and what she had for pudding.) The weight eases a little when she is on good form! Thanks so much for listening as well as your support.:j
Mum had run out of colours for her knitting (had 3 balls of “boring cream” left so I had to go to the woolshop –aaargh!
I had a lovely half hour in there – picking colours for Mum and then, of course browsing the excellent selection of “remnants” @ 99p per ball – some beautiful bargains - I have to try really hard sometimes to stick to the stuff I can use for baby knitting or just have an idea of things to make with it. I wish I didn’t find balls of yarn cuddly, needless to say I spent twice as much for me as mum!
I’ve been a bit subdued with my knitting/crochet lately – doing another Wheelchair Wrap for Mum and a couple of lacy “experiments” I keep picking up and putting down – nothing really grabbing me, not even preemie hats, then – Tuesday evening a pal of Mum ‘phoned – would I knit/crochet a shawl/blanket for an expected grandchild? Whatever I fancied – any yarn I liked!! Yippee – a real project & someone who will be happy to chat about it over coffee – what more can you ask for!!!!!!!
I really have a thing about reversible patterns for baby blankets (I prefer them) so I’ve settled on a variation of a chevron pattern (knitted), which I’ll take pics of & write my notes up as I go along in case you like the finished article. NOTE – the stitch pattern is only 3 rows 2 of them being a knit row and a purl row, with a 27 stitch repeated patt. for the 3rd row– really easy but impressive.
OK I seem to be in full waffle mode so had better wind down a bit.
Hugs and blessings to all!
Luv
Pam:smileyheaPam.:hello:0
