DPixie - every contribution counts so please don't be apologetic about the amount of knitting you do. You've done more than me this week, that's for sure!

Good luck with the trip to France. Be careful with the mould - we had some in our house here that made us both ill; it's the spores that come off the fungus that cause the problems. The weather is gorgeous here and, apparently, set fair for the next few days. A good forecasting site here is www.weatherbug.co.uk and there's also one on Angloinfo. Both of these can be set for your particular area.

If you look on Maytaurus's links on #964 (she puts the link on every post of hers), you'll find tutorials for all the crochet stitches and techniques.

    Au revoir et bon voyage!

Thank you all for my lovely welcomes x x :A

I am VERY jealous of you clever people who can make a ripple blanket, they are lovely. It would be so perfect for a friend of mine who loves stripey things but I have never crocheted in my life. I will have to have a chat with my nn and see if she knows and can teach me secondthoughts I will probably ask my grandad too as it was him that taught me to knit!

Mrs - Moneypenny - what are ST bags?

Hugs to all those who have worries, hopefully the sunny day will ease them slightly x x

Boys are on the tractor today - I am on the sewing machines - yipee
PIPS MUM - ST's sanitary towels/covers and bags for the ALGERIAN ACTION - Project Washables, patterns on either their own site or there is a really easy pattern and photgraphs on the LOVING HANDS site - like Mrs Moneypenny I am trying very hard to make loads - can't believe in this day and age that such things are not available to every woman in the world.
Very warm and sunny today, so hope the wedding group are also getting sunshine - looking forward to more photies too
Off for some lunch then back to the sewing I believe - my idea of heaven !

    Hi all,

Hope everyone has had a good day, we took our boys the wild animal park here today. I slapped suncream on us all as it's so hot, and I've still come out in a rash, I always do but i made a point of slapping loads on to ease it a bit. It's driving me mad, but at least the boys had a nice day out before going back to school on Monday.

Pips Mum- I have only been doing crochet for a few weeks, didn't have anyone to teach me so I bought a book and there's loads of help on here too. I've been a knitter for years my Mum taught me when I was about eleven, she did try to teach me crochet then too but I just couldn't get it at the time and she's not very patient, anyway I'm waffling now, just wanted to say have a go as you might surprise yourself.

Mioliere- thats a good idea to do a test piece of the ripple blanket, I would have just gone and got stuck in with the whole thing and got in a right mess, knowing me.

I'm not going to update this week as I've not got much done and still have a few thngs on the go so hopefully will finish them for next week.:o

Enjoy your evenings, hopefully I'll get on tomorrow to say hello, depends on if DH hogs the puter.:D x

Just quickly with my weekly totals - Oh Moiliere - only DOG BLANKETS not ANIMAL BLANKETS (last weeks totals posting listed an animal blanket) My totals are correct in my signature - re arranged to read the same as your updates - I am trying to make it easy for you - honest, no movement on the barn - far too hot and lovely for any work, back at it tomorrow tho' - WELL perhaps. Hope you have all had a lovely weekend. I am not counting the other 18 cotton facecloths (new photo on Wooligans) towards my new totals because my friend and my DS and DD have asked if they can have them as dishcloths..........WHAT A CHEEK, I will now get back onto the knitting machine and make more to go towards next weeks totals.

    142 ST PADS/COVERS
    6 ST BAGS

    sewing machines are red hot.......

hello everyone. I've been away this week, so have just spent some time reading all the posts I missed. OH and I took our youngest nephew (aged 10) to London for a few days.. It's something we always promised him we would do when he was old enough to appreciate it. So good time was had by all, but now have got sore feet and empty pockets!!! but it was worth it. No knitting done this week and just a couple of things from last week, so will wait till next week to post an update. Have spent this morning catching up on the washing and ironing, but its a beautiful day and the washing is drying really quickly. Just watching the rugby and have started a childs sun top while watching and shouting at the telly.!!!
Hugs to all those who need them.
Enjoy the rest of your afternoon.

    Hi,
Maytaurus,Really love your posts, the pictures are brilliant."One day" I'll have a go at trying to post some myself. That will be the same "one day" I'll clean my cupboard full of junk out, make jewellery and then become a size 10.
No update for me,done a few bits, not a lot as it's been a little too hot for me to knit. Managed a bit of crochet but can only do blankets,Maybe "one day" I'll manage to learn stitches!
I've also got a sewing machine that I've got to find out how it works:o
Did I read that hedgehogs are no longer needed? I like those:D.
    Off to write a to-do list:rotfl:
