Morning everybody- The sun is shining and I have had alazy start.

So sorry about the window Mrs Moneypenny___ your poor sons!!!

Pippa -Thanks for message I have replied

Poor Kathy I bet she is really fed up as hse was so hoping it was going to be seamless. I think smoke will be comng out of her computer when she gets up and running Roamin in the Gloamin thnks for keeping us updated

Maytaurus- So good to see you posting.

To all the newbies- I am sorry if sometimes you dont get an individual mention-- I can only keep 1 thing in my head for 1 second so its not that you are not thought about.

Right to one and all hope you have a good weekend. I am off to Bath on a hen weekend. This sort of occasion tells me how much I have changed over the years. I actually would rather spend a weekend looking after hens !!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: However my soon to be DIL is a real sweetiue and actually she is in the middle of knitting a superted right now. So perhaps it is not going to be too raucus ( My DDS would rather it was!!) Still they have another 1 on their own in a couple of weeks so they can dance the night away then and have a wild time !!

There are 11 men coming to stay in our house !!!!!:beer::beer: our son had his head screwed on when he asked DOH to be best man as they are off to an Activity Day nesr here and staying over for 2 nights. So actually I am glad to be away. The crazy thing is Father of the bride, brother etc etc are coming to our house for the very first time so I must get on and make it look presesntable. Actually I must shave my legs and armpits and make me look presentable !!!!!

I am going to take my knitting with me --- I can knit in the back of the car 9 DD" is driving ) I dont think I had better knit on the weekend though -- could be construed s SAD . I did manage 1 Aaron square last night and I am looking forward to sending my parcels off next week as they are taking up a lot of space and the teddies are fed up of being squashed in bags.
So I will be back on Sunday to tell you how I got on
Try and do a good deed every day.
  • Good morning all!

Very quiet here yesterday and until 4pm today as yesterday took DD and DS to Grandparents for the day - they looked after them both whilst I did some proper work, DH picked DD up at 6 whilst DS had a sleepover...absolute bliss! I do miss him, course I do, but a wee break from a 4 year old whirlwind is welcome sometimes.

I've managed to get some more boobs done in all sorts of peculiar colours, but I think they may give the midwives a giggle! All I need to do now is sew them up.

Also, I've been meaning for years to teach myself how to crochet (with you there Elaine, it makes my head hurt!) - my Grandma still despairs that I can't do it (I also knit "wrong" according to her as I throw my wool...I just can't, no matter how I try, keep hold of the needle) and my dear Mum tried to teach me, but I never managed it. So, inspired by the boobtube lady I actually managed to do some chains and a single crochet (according to her) last night, but I think her single crotchet may be a slip stitch?? Anyway, it took my an hour to manage about 15 chains and 3 rows of this single stitch so I was quite proud of myself. :T
Now onto the next step of the doubles and then trying to understand a simple pattern- does anyone know of a simple pattern for anything!? Dh was in hysterics as I was so determined to crack it, and he claims he'snever seen me so intent on getting my head round something before.

I need to do a round up of everything I've recently had on the needles so I can update my totals and my sig - will try and get these done for the end of today then I know where I am!

Boob question - I will sew the sides up, but do they need stuffing before I send them Shelley or are ou happy to do the finishing off?

Have added to my stash too (whoops), got some Romance for 99p a ball (should be £5) - and I have an idea that I will make myself a shrug/short cardi in readiness for DDs christening. I ahve the strapless dress, but need covering up!

    Bye for now,

    Dawn x

Thanks for all your good wishes for DH girls. Sorry to hear about your `smashing` time Mrs M. Mindless idiots.

Dawn-I managed that as well, then tried the double, picture this scene.......(sounds of Muttley the dog in wacky races)

:mad::mad: " *&^%$^**^$ -" metal hooky thing and ball of green stuff flying across living room.....Dh yells `look out for UFO`s, think you`d better give up on that dear!!`

Give up ??? me ?? When did I ever give up on anything? Well this might just be a first !!

My problem seems to be that I can`t get the hook to come through the loops without the others falling off the hook - if you see what I mean ?
Would a bigger hook help do you think, or am I just cack-handed ?

Just off to see what the doc has to say about DH. Got the wool and 2 needles with me. Be back later.

Mrs moneypenny how awful for you and your boys it must have been very frightening, hope you get it all sorted soon. Why do people do things like that it makes me so mad.

Good luck at the doc's, psso, hope your oh feeling better soon.

Well I'm going off to have a coffee now and finish my boob.
