    Hi everyone
Well zip is out of dress --- no chocolate brownies winking at me today -- just had an orange instead of a cheese straw -- not really hit the button though

Tight As- Glad you are better. Yes wedding coming round really quickly. I have got to fill all the favour bags next week but am going to get the Hen Weekend in Bath over with first. Hotel and Spa so should be lovely DDIL to be does not drink .1 of her sisters is 8 + months pregnant the other has a 4 month old baby who is going to be at home alone with Daddy for the first time !!! so I guess there is only her cousin and my 2 DDS to get up to mischief ( and mine know how to do it big time !!! - mischief that is )I think her Mum who is lovely and I will be sticking together.

So joined Freecycle here and have already had an offer of 2 bags of wool-- isn't that brilliant..

Did just pop into the wool shop this morning - well it seemed mean not too. Anyway the lobster wool for DD2's aquarium leapt out at me as well as 1 ball of hdgehog wool -- reduced to 50p and a couple of other balls just rolled towards me begging to jump on the counter -- could not say no. Cruelty to wool should be an offence

Have good evenings everbody and love and best wishes to you all
Try and do a good deed every day.

    Hi Noynoy :hello:
I believe Loving Hands would be very happy to get the squares. There is a link to their site on the first post - sorry, typing one handed due tolittle person wedged on me!
  • Always happy to get squares here - we have a wee band of happy 'finishers' who can turn squares into blankets, half finished items into completed garments and happily put faces on toys and stuff toys and boobs to perfection! Much better than at the start of my LH journey when all of those things had to be done by ......ME  No wonder I never got a lot of time to do much knitting myself :rotfl:

So sorry Diana - have checked everywhere in LH HQ today for you and no Sprinkles yarn left in any colour  Luckily you have our lovely Sylvia to come cantering to the rescue on her big white horse :T (I do love these smilies you guys have over here 0 they are so much more animated than ours :j).

Right - back to work - I haven't been able to get anything opened, photographed or put away this week yet - DH is on holiday and is ripping out our bathroom and turning it into a fully tiled shower room - hence a bunch of smelly, dirty kids and two dishevelled grandparents in Clentry Crescent this week! (Just kidding MIL lives about 100 yds away and she has a lovely shower room already and lots of hot water!).

Will be glad when he is finished though - the whole house looks like a building site and I have some members coming down from Stonehaven for lunch tomorrow

Ah ha! Might do another tragic ted! It was doing the face that killed my enthusiasm - doesn't seem to be my strong suit! Glad I did finish him though because it was nice to see him all completed and I particularly like his ears. You are lucky to have happy finishers Lou, I think most on here would happily avoid sewing up and faces.
I'm currently crocheting (yes, me!) a baby blanket, partly for the practice but also because it is so much quicker than my knitted one which is still on the needles and it's looking OK so far. And I could carry on doing it while gassing with my SIL on the phone - perfect!
Pattern is here if anyone fancies it.

You want to watch that lobster wool & the balls that jump onto the counter,
They can be very sneaky & will catch you off your guard every time if you don’t stay vigilant !
Be on your guard !! bearGuard.gif

    Glad you’re feeling better .....

Re; ‘why is it that men don't see dirt?’
I think you could start a whole new thread with this question!!

    mandw2.gif
    mandw3.gif
    mandw4.gif

Try as they might to adapt, a man's idea of clean enough is rarely enough where women are concerned
Men don't much care about a lot of things, they'd rather be doing something. Women care about a lot of things, that's rather what they do.
A man's brain is more like a filing cabinet which stores ideas in separate drawers.
So he overlooks the dirt because the cleanliness file is closed, or maybe even empty.
Male indifference to dirt feels utterly strange to a woman.
This explains why a wife often says "better clean up your act, mister."
But it's not an act, men are just oblivious to the dirt

    morning all
lovely post again maytaurus, your pictrues alway cheer the place up for the day.

spent yesterday on the sewing machine again converting the sheet into ST covers and a towel into pads, pleased with the amount i managed but dont think the sewing machine liked the thickness of the pads.

in the evening we had a tv catch up fest (primeval, robin hood, the aprentice followed by damages) so at risk of DTV setting in i sat through them all and knitted. Started a blanket for Sands so its already a nice size. I'v got a 4ply gown on the go as well but thats patterned so too much to think about while watching. It had to be a no brain knit last night;).

Sylvia i'll pm you re the sprinkles if you dont mind picking me some up:D:A.

sprinkles blanket and DS jumper are non charity things also on the pins.

hope everyone is well and has a good day, its a bit drizzly here still but hopefully will perk up later
