Hasnt it been a lovely day, been outside most of the day gardening, think my backs broke now....worth it though.....shared the borders with a couple of Robins, they were after the worms, friendly little fellows Robins are

Hi Everyone
Have been away for a few days with the family and had a lovely time – even caught the sun!- gave a wave to Shezmit and Loopylisa going past Worcester way and then Anne just before Brum (she got a long wave as we were stuck in traffic!) and I was crocheting and in charge of child entertaining all the way.
Glad to see Kathy has popped back but not impressed with Telecom France – how very dare they?
Has taken me ages to catch up with everyone’s news and it’s good to be back.
Weirdly - considering my previous feelings and comments!- I’m beginning to love crochet and spent more time doing that than any knitting this week. Have done some Aaron squares in doubles and trebles and a bunting in each too. Will get Shelley to check the treble bunting is Ok before I do any more though, they might be a bit “holey”. Anyway, better get back to it! X

Think you might be right about the trebles for a Bunting - would think that a half-treble is probably best. - I'll be interested to see what Shelley thinks.

Where did you end up for your little holiday? on the coast? Glad you had a good time & nice to see you back. The stay at homes have all been very quiet - including me - I go all shy (believe it or not:o) when its quiet.

on a sad note you are right your parcel did not arrive here, i even stopped the psotie on the way to the eggstravaganza saturday morning to ask if he had anything for me in his van. hopefully bcause there have been 2 no post days -good friday and easter monday, it could just be delayed. we have got a fashion show/raffle tonight and there will be other things coming up so if it does arrive late it will certainly be used. im just sad that your hard work and kindness may have gone astray thanks to royal snail.

hope everyone had a good easter weekend and not too much chocolate-if there is such a thing:rotfl:.

the Eggstravaganza update.
weather was manky and drizzly which i told the vicar off for (he had one thing to arrange with his boss;)) but we had a good moring and lots of people turned up to support up. the boys did the sponsored walk eldest thought dressing up so not cool at 14 so donned his ju jitsu suit and spent the whole morning doing laps of the field he did 14 (and they had been measured as 1k each) youngest did 5 laps but decided his tasdk was to use as much of my money as possible having goes on things to raise money that way:eek:. he won the fancy dress comp so was happy.
i ended up on the egg hunt for the whole time i was there but it was brisk trade so i was happy (my stall took £37- not sure how much the lindt mini bunnies i was giving away cost so dont knot how much was profit. wont know what the day took yet but im hping they give us a total tonight and do the sponsor money seperate (my boys had £28 between them but i know others had a lot more:T) thank you to everyoe who helped and donated things ill let you know when the photos appear on the site.

i missed doing my totals this time so ill save them for next weekend. ive got my last batch of puffin bags some boobs and buntings to add.

morning all - had a lovely weekend went to stay with my lovely MIL - she is such a treasure and i am so lucky to have her. we did loads of gardening and not much knitting.

i have not had much of a chance to update my totals, so i will do them this weekend before spending 10 days in france - hopefully france telecom will deliver - however, i will put money on the chance that they dont!!!

maytaurus - was very cross with "royal snail" and intend to go back there this morning and chase them up. i really do hate it when people say that they are going to phone you and update you and they dont - dont make promises that you dont intend to keep and then people wont be disappointed!

well as it is a beautiful sunny day and my "to do list" is overflowing, i think i will finish my coffee and get on with it. hope that everyone has a wonderful day. happy knitting/crocheting - if you get the chance.
