Hi everybody-- Hope everyone is having good days. We have been really busy unpacking all our Spanish life and making room here for everything that came back. So some serious clearing and decluttering has gone on. Charity bags full and also rubbish sorted. I love it --- When I am in the mood I can clear with gusto. Did break 1 ear on my favourite piggy bank though whiuch was sad

Well I have been busy putting things on ebay. Didnt realise it was free listing on things under 99p-- I shall be on the hunt for loads now.

Have loved knitting hedgehogs the last couple of nights -- they look so cute. Also still carrying on with the little trauma toys but need some more stuffing !

Well chocolate and the dress with the broken zip -- uummmm ,well did well til a Chocolate Brownie winked at me, but they have all gone now. The Easter Tree has gone away so chocolate does not exist !!!

Hope all who are lurking come and join us and I must agree it is lovely to see Lou posting here so that we have a direct link with Loving Hands
Try and do a good deed every day.
  • Evening all - hope everyone is having a productive night!!
Purple teddy bear - which little steam railway did you visit? I live on the edge of the Lake District and there is one at Ravenglass and one at Haverthwaite - both equally lovely. We're so lucky to live here, but sometimes take it all for granted.
Oh well, back to the knitting, the football and a lager.

    Cheers

    Ann

  • Hi Ann
We were camping at Eskdale, so were literally 10 minutes walk away from dalegarth station, so we went all the way to ravenglass and back. We were "inside" on the way down, but as the weather was so gorgeous, we were "outside" on the way back - DS loved it!!

DH was burbling on about conquering Scafell Pike - a little ambitious methinks, but one day!

We're lucky in that we live not all that too far away (only down the road in Yorkshire!!), but it's far enough to be a holiday if you get my meaning.

  • Hi Dawn

Gosh you were only about 25 minutes away from me!! We went up to Revenglass on Monday for lunch at the pub, a favourite haunt. The little train is good isn't it, we've been going on that since we were small, my son used to love it too, and if truth be told still does (he's only 18!!). They do wonderful Christmas special trains too. Santa boards the train to sing carols and all the kids get a present at Dalegarth end. Sherry and mince pies for the grown ups.

    Ann xx

    morning all

no knitting last night as i went to the fashion show with my MiL and youngest DD, wasnt really moneysaving as i brought a new skirt and 2 tops DD got 3 tops. but they were all loads cheaper than shop price, DD got best bargain a £42 top for £10 (the perk of being size 10) they only had 3 left all small sizes everyones hand went up and 3 ladies at the front got them i saw how dissapionted DD was so couldn't believe my luck when we were in the loos after trying on before paying and a young woman next to me said shes grabbbed one to see how generous the size was but it was too small, i quickly asked if i could take it for DD. She looks lovely in green as well. I asked at the fashion show what we took on saturday and so far its looking like about £350 profit after deductions for stuff that had to be brought but the sponsor money will need adding to the total once its collected.

Shelly spent yesterday afternoon converting that nightie into bags i got 6 out of it. Let me know what you think when you see them.

Im ripping an old sheet into oblongs at the mo for the LH STs from the challenge so will have my machine out again later (once the kids are up) i can knit and use the puter while they sleep but the sewing machine will have them all out of bed checking what im up to;). managed to get 56 oblongs in the size needed for the covers.

Sylvia ill get back to you re the lilac sprinkles once ive heard from Lou, thank you for letting me know.
