just back from the chemist where i was hoping to pick up 2 more balls of wool but they only had 1, id started a baby blanket for a friends daughter due in a couple of weeks but now will have to pull half the last ball down and start decreasing so i get a square but it will be smaller.
its old stock wool that was in the sales called sprinkles so i doubt ill find it anywhere else. typical they had loads of blue but i got the lilac as she thinks its a girl.
Had a look through the latest LH challenges some nice things on thereSPC~12 ot 124

Diana - I will check my box for lilac sprinkles - I know we had some in there but don't know if it has all been sent out to LH members to be knitted up - I will pm you through LH site later with result of my search :0) Spending today clearing out LH HQ office as we have got everything packed up and ready to go again so the box mountain is back in the sitting room! All this and DH is busy replacing the bathroom during his holiday so the whole house looks like a building site and we are all having to go to the MIL or other kids houses for showers :0)
Never mind - by the weekend box mountain will be gone - bathroom should be finished and hopefully HQ office will be cleared and ready to decorate (next weekends task for DH - he doesn't know it yet though :0)
Thanks for the lovely welcome ladies xx

Hi All
Pam is a half treble where you pull the yarn through all 3 loops on the hook at once? Need to keep checking my book as fall down the UK/US language gap otherwise! The DC bunting felt a little stiff so thought I'd experiment with the trebles, but I think the yarn I'm using at the moment is less so. Must post to Shelley for her verdict. Am churning out little lemon DC Aaron squares at the mo from one of my Aldi balls which doesn't seem to be going down any - everlasting wool!
Lou, lovely to see you over here - I have things to send to you (including a Tragic Ted - don't ask!) when I'm feeling less shy...Have been lurking on LH and looking at all the photos of the lovely things you've been sent - gorgeous!
Glad the Easter fayre went well Mrs MP, sounds like you were very busy - did all the "critters" fly of the stall? I bet they all looked great put together.
Must go, grubby boys need bathing x0 -

Hi K2 - yep that's the one. DC is quite a firm stitch so maybe you just need to go up a hook size, good luck
I've had a nice day - though I'm tired from the driving - a 220 mile round trip - been to see my 2 stepdaughters and grandson #1 and #3, just for a gossip & lunch. Still its a shorter trip than visiting my son, granddaughter & grandson #2 definitely more than a day out - about 930 mile round trip.
Lou - lovely to see you visiting come again and relax with us.
Talking of relaxing - time for coffee now, kettles just boiled,
catch you all later folks
luv

hello all
Hope we all had a lovely Easter and did lots of nice things, whatever they may be!
We had a fantastic time in the Lakes - the campsite was superb, very friendly (as always), very clean and child friendly; so much so that we want to go back again, and certainly didn't want to come home. The weather was phenonmenally gorgeous too, lots and lots of sunshine and wall to wall blue skies; we went on the little steam railway on saturday and then did a gentle 5 mile walk on Sunday and there was no need for fleeces, just tshirts! it was simply wonderful, and just the relaxing break I needed. safe to say, all the fresh air meant little time for knitting! However, since returning yesterday evening I have managed to get 4 boobs done (DH thinks I have gone bonkers - he asked if they were hats, and I didn't see the point in fibbing - he now wants me to do one for work as a "stressbuster" and he will take orders! I can imagine the lads he works with specifying sizes!!
At the minute, I'm just doing standard "flesh" couloured ones, but I have just spied some lime green Dk and some fluorescent yellow which could prove interesting - what does anyone think - or is this colour combination a bit too mad?!?!
On the chocolate front, I gave it all up for Lent, and tried a wee bit of an Easter egg on sunday. I don't think I like chocolate anymore!!:eek: How did that happen???
anyway, back to the boobs -
have a lovely evening,
Dawn xx:hello:0
