Hi maytaurus - can't keep a good woman down! LOVE the lobster, he's the perfect addition to Chalky's aquarium.
Lovely to hear how busy you all are. I've just unpicked and resewed Dh jumper and it looks much better but blimey was it a pain. I obviously sew very securely, if not attractively :rotfl:
Have been doing odds and ends in between a blanket which is ongoing and trying to find a particular pattern so have spent a lot of time surfing! Was most annoyed to get only 7 Aaron squares out of the end of a ball of wool when I was hoping to squeak 8 as it's the only ball I have in that colour. Hoping you can mix and match them when I post them to you Shelley! Accidentally did a new style smoothie hat yesterday - I wasn't paying attention and it has an architectural look about it which I really like. Might try and do that again!0 -

4" x 4" - cast on 20 and knit 40 rows (20 ridges)
can't remember who asked the sizes for complete blankets but I think Shelley uses 16" x 16"0 -

They were like the ones you made - just a bit *fancier* - you know, more frills / bows etc. Pretty, pretty. Keep up the good work.
Have to take Dd3 into town tomorrow jobhunting (haha) so might just pop in to John Lewis`s and have a look at their patterns - no wool tho` !!

Good morning folks.
I've had a quiet couple of days, poorly cat didn't come home from the vets - he's gone to chase birds in heaven. Thanks for your kind thoughts before the visit - Maytaurus - as ever you found some brilliant pics, I have saved both of them.
Dpixie thanks for the hugs - very welcome:smileyhea
I've been knitting baby hats - isn't it amazing how many you get out of a big ball of wool - been playing with patterns and I've translated a couple from 4 to 2 needles.
This came about when I found a pattern and knitted it happily, finished it off and checked it against the picture to find it looked nothing like it!. Then I read the instructions to find it should be on 4 dpns  . Looks ok though - will still send it to Shezmit.
Translated the pattern & I love it Mock Cable Rib with Eyelets a really easy 4 row pattern that looks so cute. I've also done a little Roll Brim Beanie hat.
Shezmit - I'll type up the patterns & email to you - if you like them feel free to post them on the site. Boob count 4 Aliens so far +2 planned, also got wool for probably another half dozen not sure what species they'll turn out.
Shazrobo - hope you're feeling better.
Sorry its a bit of a saga. Now desperate for coffee - off out with PamsPal later - to the sales at M&S & Debenhams - just for a look see!!!!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl:
'bye for now

ladies - its confession time - i cannot be trusted!!!
i have just walked past the wool shop in order to go to the post office and popped in to see the man that runs the wool shop. i felt so bad that i had not bought anything from him in a month, that i ended up buying 12 balls of overpriced wool. I have decided as pennance to donate these to my next door neighbour in france for all the eggs she has given me ... and i will use the wool that i bought for her. the upside is that its baby wool, so i will be able to carry on knitting stuff for you shelly!!!
have a great day all. hugs to those who need them.
pam - sorry about your cat, but i am sure that (s)he will be very happy hunting birds in the sky.
off for some coffee and a bit of knitting.
