I can’t find that particular baby born asleep cribs either
    I must be slipping !

Roamin in the gloamin & LC Wilson ..........if MAYTAURUS can`t find the baby cribs, we haven`t got a bloomin` hope  .

Well, I`ve just increased my stash again, (oh dear, what will DH say?.no can`t say in polite company). Joined the local freecycle group a couple of weeks ago and posted a request for wool last week. Guess what - 2 people emailed me offering wool. I got in touch with the lady nearest me and she said she used to do a lot of knitting for charity, but her hands are too bad with arthritis now so she had to stop. Anyway, off I toddle to pick it up and blow me, she comes downstairs with 2 FULL large binbags.....and says theres another one to come:eek: !! There`s enough there to keep me going for the next 20 years . There`s a couple of knitters on the LH site who live in my area so I think I`ll get in touch and see if they want some. The first two bags were full of wool suitable for babies, and LH type of things - the third one has darker stuff and lots if wool from ripped out jumpers by the look of it, so would do for the doggies & kitties etc. She was doing stuff for the local PDSA so will maybe carry on doing that.

Wish I had more knitting time, or as many arms as Sid the squid. LoL.
Sorry for rambling on, must get down to some work. Now, what will I do first?

By the way Jean, there wasn`t enough snow to make a snowman, and anyway it was too blinkin` cold to stay out for long !

Good morning girls, - hope everyone is well

Shezmit - sorry to hear your son had mishap(?!) - hope he is recovering - must remember to send your money this week

Good to see more newbies (I didnt come on for a couple of days and more appear - switching on the computer is like rubbing a magic lamp haha) - welcome you will soon realise how lovely and friendly this lot can be!

Well the holey blanket saga - whereas I suspect all you that were doing it as well as me have finished yours mine got unpicked for the second time - I was going great guns but whilst watching Heston Tudor Feast on Sunday I made a massive boo boo and am not good enough to put right so I got stressed unravelled it all and have started again I will finish it even if it has me on my knees!!! ha ha

Anyway better get the small one off to school - as usual there is a big bag of ironing begging me to start but I feel the wool is shouting just a little louder - will see which one wins later - speak soon love and best wishes to all - hug to anyone who needs on! f1widow (aka Jaqui) xxxxx

Morning all - hope that you are all well and for those of you who are not, HUGE hugs to you all.

i have just had a very nasty shock - i looked in my wool stash and i am down to only 1 ball of baby wool left (the rest, 3 balls, has been left at the house in france for knitting up whilst there). As i have made a promise to myself that i will not buy any more wool until i am down to 10 balls in my stash, it means that i will be knitting 8" x8" squares for a while (sorry shelly and aaron) and will also be using up my "scraps" to knit a few more IS hats - it really is amazing how little wool they use!

my job for today is going to be tidying up my IS hat wool - its all in messy bits and will need to be tidied in order to see exactly what i have.

isnt it sad that i am now not quite as happy knitting my 8" x 8" squares as i was before - oh well, maybe i have moved on a bit!

i will stop whittering on now and go and do some work.

a lovely day to you all, and keep warm as the weather is going to get even chillier.

Hi maytaurus, I will have to get back to you on that one, I don't think I have read it but I will have to have a look when I get home. I tried sorting my bedroom out last night and found I have 3 novels that I have twice lol.
