    Hi Chalky,
I've just come back from Spain & in the 'Cash China' & China Mundo' shops(they appear to be the Chinese equivalent of £stretcher ish!!!) they have lots of eyelash wool etc, (suitable for hedgehogs) at 60 cents a ball, not sure if you have any similar shops in your part of Spain? Brilliant photo's of your sea creatures.:T

  • prfungi - Pam I took your advice and am doing "a bit of crochet" around the tiny blanket - be warned tho' folks previous crochet only consisted of dog blakets - and they ain't too particular about the stitching only the comfort!

Maytaurus Just kick it!!! The car not the dog off course, poor wee sausage, hope he/she is soon on the mend. I always tell my lot that if it cost more than the big jag - well they will get the big jag, but never have I ever carried out that threat. Oh that Jessica Tromp Dutch Dame - I love her website, I have been ploughing through her machine knitting patterns, so out of interest I went and had a look at her crochet edges - that gave me a really good belly laugh............what's with all the different colours and symbols - are they different stitches, oh I couldn't get out of there quick enough, worse than learing martian - which no doubt will be my next hobby.

PSSO - Elaine was it anything likeany of these -

if so mine is nothing like them and perhaps I should go back to the drawing board!

dpixie see you made it back from your recent sojourn over here - hope it wasn't too cold for you - do you know a good selection of French sweary words?? I thought that the Italians were bad but the French seem to take forever if and when they roll up that is. Chin up it will all get done one day, says she who is still to have the house completed after 15 years - no rush DH can do it all when he retires HA HA

Off to find something else to occupy me - I have the afternoon to myself, so book, cuppa and knitting seems in order to me, back soon I hope :j

Hi everyone, hope all are well today.

maytaurus, I love that pic, you're brilliant - I don't know how you do it.
Shezmit, glad the parcel arrived ok. How many Aaron squares make a blanket?

I'm just making a parcel for loving hands and then I'd like to have a go at a baby blanket. What size do they need to be?

I'm so impressed by how busy everyone is on here making items that will make a real difference to others lives. You're all great.

    :T Good afternoon everyone
Another sunny but cold day so not much knitting getting done the neighbours have been making me feel guilty doing lawns, planting things:eek: I HATE GARDENING  (wished we had a gardener) so when my DH said we may get rain by the end of the week the first thought in my head was great more knitting time for me ( does that sound sad) so hopefully should get a lot done then:T

Hi Jean - i am back and in one piece, but it was very cold to start with. the house was so new that the first few days (before electricity and sunshine) the house was very damp with condensation on the floors every morning. however, although we got electricity, we still dont have hot water - the bl*** builders are playing silly beggars and are refusing to come back to finish up. I dont know any choice words in french, but i certainly let them have it in greek, italian and afrikaans and then for good measure told them what i thought of them in english too - do you think they may have got the message that 10 days of cold showers (and not much hair washing as it was just tooooo cold) just didnt work for me?

oh well, i have looked up the number of an electrician and a plumber in the yellow pages and will have to get one in next week to sort out the hot water then.

oh well, the sun is shining and its nearly 4pm - time for a cup of tea and a bit of knitting.

speak soon and have a lovely evening all
