No dont worry Im the one confused (its not difficult to get me confused) - I just wasnt sure if after you have done row 10 - row 11 should be exactly the same ie k1, yfwd, k2tog, or should it be alternated in some way - im not sure how to explain ???? jaqui xx

    Hi f1 widow & k2tog

It looks as if every row should be the same when you read the pattern - go on bite the bullet and do it like that and the difference in pattern will show up as you will be doing it on both the `right` side AND the `wrong` side IYKWIM........you`ll just have to riiiiiiiip it out if it doesn`t look like Lou`s one:rotfl:. Must admit, I wouldn`t be able to go to bed until I got it right though, my brain (such as it is ) wouldn`t rest and I`d have to get up and try again.

By the way I was going to add that we sometimes give silly answers depending on how much vino collapso has been consumed, not stupid ones, but having read this again...........maybe this qualifies as a stupid one !!!! and I have NOT partaken of the vc tonight. yet.;)

    Hi everyone
Help please--- Can anyone point me in the direction of Maytaurus's wonderful list of all the people we knit for. I had a phone call the other day from the knitting group here in Spain asking me to come and collect all the teddies they have made for us and they also want more information/patterns so they can keep knitting this summer whilst I am home in the UK.

My friends who styed with us at the weekend have gone home and straight to Aldi for me to get a fresh batch of wool for the summer knitting in the Sunshine Bus so I am chuffed about that.

    Hi Chalky
Here's the one for the hat with the flap (I sound like a Dr Seuss book!)

Shelley said she was short of the above.

This is the tea cosy vent hat

    HELP LA LA MOMENT ...........

Can anyone help I am just starting a blanket that I have seen on here and am feeling dumb - it goes like this....

Cast on 108 - knit for 9 rows then change size of needle
10th row - knit 1, yarn forward, knit 2 together - repeat to end of row
NOW THIS IS WHERE I GET CONFUSED on the next row should I start
11th row -knit 1, yarn forward etc or should the 11th row start different so each row alternates - I hope you understand what I mean ??????
I started it last night and it just didnt look right so I unpicked it and went to bed feeling distressed !!!!!:p

Any help would be gratefully received ........... f1widow xxx

Hi f1widow, I knitted this blanket a couple of weeks ago, the first few rows are in garter stitch on 4mm needles, then you do the pattern row on 6mm needles (same for every row) for 22inches or so. It does look ok after you've done a few rows, although funny at first lol! Here's a pic of the one I did if it's any help too

may go start another one now :rotfl:

Are you sure it`s a punishment, Pam ? You seem to be enjoying it FAR too much . LOL.

*Sigh* well, I don`t know girls, all this drooling over men................you`ll be dribbling ALL over your knitting and it will be getting damp:rotfl: I have a vision of all these little hats and boobs hanging on the radiators  to dry off.
