Hi all - just back from the dentist. No treatment needed, thankfully!

Aeshna - welcome back to you - having had my computer crash on me for just a few hours last year, I know how it feels! It's like losing an arm, isn't it?

Welcome to Natty - we love newbies on here. As Pippa has said, the info you need is on the very first post but please ask on here if there's anything you're not sure of. We're a helpful bunch!

Shez - I think I'd rather be going through this house-and-country move than have the thought of an imminent bungee jump on my mind! I should be well and truly back on line (and hopefully, knitting) by the time you jump, so I shall look forward to hearing all about it. You're a braver gal than I am!

DH has just said he needs a hand when he visits the local tip this afternoon, then he has to pop into the village, and I thought 'well, as I'll be near the wool shop, I can pop in there and................'. I almost suggested it, then wondered how on earth I could justify it when I have so much packed.

Anyway, Colin Firth has just made me a cuppa so I'm off; I daren't let him get cold! Whose favourite scene is the one where he emerges from the lake, all damp and moody, in those tight britches and boots, with his curls just covering the top of his collar?

Just editing to echo S-Michaels, wondering how you are, Maytaurus. I've just seen that your last post on MSE was on the 12th. Hope all is well with you and your family. We all miss you on here.

PippaS - went in to my wool shop today with plans of taking pictures of the 'stripey' wool for you as you said you were trying to get some. Couldn't believe how many colours there were. What colour were you looking for? it is a Robin make wool http://www.tbramsden.co.uk/html/yarnpage21.html. Let me know and I can get it for you.
Wooligans member 2010 - 6 animal blankets. 2 angel wraps, 2 baby hat, 4 Aaron squares, 5 cardigans

    HELP LA LA MOMENT ...........

Can anyone help I am just starting a blanket that I have seen on here and am feeling dumb - it goes like this....

Cast on 108 - knit for 9 rows then change size of needle
10th row - knit 1, yarn forward, knit 2 together - repeat to end of row
NOW THIS IS WHERE I GET CONFUSED on the next row should I start
11th row -knit 1, yarn forward etc or should the 11th row start different so each row alternates - I hope you understand what I mean ??????
I started it last night and it just didnt look right so I unpicked it and went to bed feeling distressed !!!!!:p

Any help would be gratefully received ........... f1widow xxx

    Hello you wonderful people you!

I'd like to volunteer to knit something for you - but the last thing I knitted was a scarf which took me 2 years and a lot of swearing :o :rotfl:Basically, I can barely knit! I have some double knitting wool and sort of thin chopstick sized needles and enough knitting ability to cast on and plain/purl. Will I be any use?
If you see me on here - shout at me to get off and go and get something useful done!! :D

    Hi f1,
which pattern are you using? not sure but I would think that row 11 should be a plain knit row.
