Evening All (bend the knees & touch forehead)
In a funny old mood tonight - not sure what to do with myself, played with some numbers, done a couple of puzzles, don't know what to knit next - ho hum! need a change from blanket at this time of night the rows are too long - fell asleep over it last night dropped a bunch of stitches in the middle of a row - [strike]screwed[/strike] blew the pattern when I picked them up- then decided I was probably the only one who would notice so carried on regardless (I'd already restarted twice).
Already done the nice warm shower bit, now sat in chair - feet up - smell like a person not a dog/cat.
Anyway - have just looked at the thread from last year - amazing :
Last year in eight & half months the thread ran for 99 pages with 1973 posts
This year - in two and half months its covered 86 pages with 1720 posts.
At this rate we'll reach at least 7500 posts covering 375 pages
Another piece of useless (if interesting) information. Told you I'd been playing with numbers.
Sorry to offload on you all, just a bit "humphy"
Thanks for listening
luv

If you lot are all swooning over Mr Darcy, does that mean I get Patrick to myself? Might have to watch the film again tonight - feeling sorry for myself with a cracking ear infection
.
Hi all,
glad you're all hooked up on Mr Darcy & Patrick Swayze- leaves the gorgeous Mel Gibson for ME !!!!!!!!! :T:rotfl:
luv
PAmPam.:hello:0 -
Yep, no argument from me Pam - all yours!
Share Shaz? Or do I have to move on to Richard Gere or (ooooh!) Bryan Adams?:D
Oops, slightly off topic there!
Stand by for knitting content:
Trying the flap baby hat for the first time. Is it me doing something wrong or do you really have to keep breaking the yarn and rejoining? My yarn keeps ending up at the wrong end! I think I'm getting there but it seems a bit clumsy - not like me of course:rolleyes:0 -
Hi all. I'll be content with 'just' Colin Firth, Mel Gibson and Richard Gere - you can all share any others!
Well, packing has started again but I'll have a break mid morning because I'm going to the dentist for a check-up. We now know we need more boxes so DH will collect those when he makes yet another trip to the charity shop and the tip.
I didn't get anywhere near my knitting last night because we worked until late. I am determined to have a quiet evening this evening - fingers crossed.
K2tog - I hope you ear infection clears up soon. There's not much worse tha earache, is there?
Pam - I can't believe how much more we have achieved this year, compared to the same period last year! What wonderful people we have on here.
Well, back to the boxes!

Morning
ooo you lot make me laugh....now behave yourselves ladies.....otherwise you'll get all excited and we'll have stitches dropped all over the place and end up with lots of 'lacy' type knitting:rolleyes:
and anyway Patrick is here doin my ironing.... so hands off for a bit.....
I know, dream on :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
k2tog - quick running repair for lost bits, an elastic band wound round and round stops the stitches falling off,
doesnt help if you fall asleep though,Prfungi they still have a mind of their own and jump off the ends;)
I had a really good knitting night last night, while I watched Larkrise (on Catch-up TV) finished another baby blanket off and did some boobs for you Shelley will send them all off when I do a couple more buntings.
not for counting yet though,I will put my totals on at the weekend
Kathy - are you sure you have the time for all those hunks!!! need any help:rolleyes: :rotfl:
Had a look at the Kemps wool site earlier some good bargains on there, better use up what I've got first I think, I was going to treat myself to one of those wheelie drawer things but the prices  think I'll stick to plastic boxes.
good days all

Hey all!
I've been going demented since my internet connection went down at home, it's been a long haul without my MSE fix and looking in on you all every day!! Thankfully, just when I figured I could take no more, I've been assured that by the time I get home this evening, all will be well, phew!! Fingers crossed!! Been too busy at work to post here, but finally got a chance to sneak in now when nobody's looking!!
Not having the distraction of this thread, I've been able to get on with knitting a few bits, but now I can't remember offhand so will have to wait till later.
Anyhow, just wanted to say good morning, I missed you all!

Morning everyone, is it okay if I join in with your merry little band of knitters
I am a cross stitcher normally but have lost the bug, but thought as I can knit I would be able to do this while at home watching t.v etc.. I love the idea of paying it forward and absolutely adore knitting baby stuff as well as toys

morning all
hope the poorlies are feeling better
kathy i hope the planning and packing is still on track.
managed to unravel a few rows of the scarf and think ive managed to pick all the stitches up so i did a few rows on that last night while 24 was on (but i'll admit to paying more attention to Jack than my knitting but its such loopy wool i dont think a dropped (or gained) stitch will make too much difference;)SPC~12 ot 124
