I do the same Mrs Moneypenny ;)

My totals didn't get included in the last update, but don't worry can just be done in the next one. Would it make it easier for you Kathy to have a separate post where we put our weekly updates so they didn't get 'lost' in the chat and you had less to look through? You have so much to do want to make things easier for you!

Have a good day everyone, I'm thinking of knitting another hat as I'm at home today :D
I think that is a great idea - seperate thread for totals - I must admit I dont know how Kathy can keep track of all the furious knitters - I cant even count up what I have done in time ha ha !!!
Since yesterday having seen all of you talking about Aldi's wool offers I have been desperately thinking of Aldi and bargains - cant get it off my mind .......... hmmmm
I was really pleased that some of you had talked of Kents - there are two places to buy wool in our town - 1) Charity Shop (has a few balls never anything much different) 2) Local hardware shop (has more of a selection but is a bit on the expensive side) - the problem is because I suffer with panic attacks and agoraphobia I dont get out very much and definately not in the car - have not properly been in car for 2 years now - I go 5 min journeys and that is about it - so when I think I want to go out or/have to go out into town I try and treat myself to a little something ie ball of wool or cardmaking bits and pieces (sorry Martin I probably have comitted a terrible sin there cos I am supposed to be saving money whooops) - so tommorow when I go to post office to send Shezmit a parcel I will buy one ball of wool (now you are probably thinking omg how much wool/craft stuff does she have - I will only normally go into town once a week and ration myself to a few pound for myself per week - its like an incentive for me - but yes I do have far to much stuff anyway - but since joining in here I have found that wool is very addictive and did not realise how much had brought/been given until I moved recently - it is a wonder my chair was not tipping forward from the weight of the bags behind it ha ha

Anyway I have waffled on enough - off to finish a square and a cup of tea
Love and best wishes to you all - I hope like me the sun has made you all smile - jaqui xxx

Hi all - Jellybeans, I'm sorry about your totals. Prfungi is going to cross-check the figures for me. I think I'm trying to get too much done against a very fast-ticking clock at the moment! I'm sure we'll get your figures right, because the original update, which I still have, was correct before I messed it up! I like Jellybeans idea of people updating in a separate post from the chat - but I do love the chat; it makes it feel as if I know you all as good friends!

Shz - I'm glad the parcel arrived; I'm sorry I'm not making much at the moment, but I hope that will change once I've got this move out of the way!

Pippa - yes, Colin Firth does do things for me! He's so gorgeous, especially as Mr Darcy!

Well, I've just cleared out all the drawers under my bed and found a load more wool! Can't remember putting it there so it shows how long it's been since I tidied the drawers! Poor DH has had to make up another box for it all! He just shakes his head, now, and doesn't say a word!

Anyway, we've got loads more done today and it feels as if we are on the home straight now. The boxes are mounting up and the under-cover bit where I have my 'winter' washing line has been cleared ready for stacking things. It's well-protected from the weather and very safe, so we can start moving things out there - then it's just a matter of reversing the truck up to the doors, and we can start loading on 'the day'!

Hope everyone is enjoying the good weather.

    I'll call back later.

    SHELLY

Posted a couple of parcels this morning. A few Aaron squares... quite a few actually :D . Also some buntings, a couple of pairs of booties, my first 2 boobs :T, and a sideways knitted cardi/jacket - this one said to make a crochet chain to thread through the neck eyelets, but I think it would be better with ribbon. I've put a small ball of the wool in just in case you think it would be better though. It's a nice one to knit because there is very little sewing, but I think it would be better if it was smaller. When I get time I may have a go at adjusting the pattern.

I also finished off a little cardi today which had been waiting a fortnight for the sewing and button bands :embarasse. I was hoping to get it done in time to send today, but I'll include it with next week's instead.

Totals: 30 Buntings, 2 Gowns, 13 Chalky Squares

creeps in quietly and looks round to see if anyone watching...all I will say is Aldi! Have had two offeres of wool from freecycle and will also ask in work but the two balls I got will keep me going for now...do find it relaxing and can click away while watching tv....

It seems we have a Mr Darcy fan club going on here! He's actually helping me to move, so, sorry girls!

You've all been knitting away, haven't you? I wish I could join you; it would be much better than all this infernal packing!

Well,I'd better get on with it!

If you lot are all swooning over Mr Darcy, does that mean I get Patrick to myself? Might have to watch the film again tonight - feeling sorry for myself with a cracking ear infection :(.
Mrs MP, I think I'm heading for a similar disaster - was just finishing some bootees earlier and DS1 said "Oh no Mum, the end has dropped off your knitting stick!" think it went down the back of the sofa so now I have 2 ends to worry about my knitting sliding off!
Shelley looks from LC Wilson's post that Aaron blankets will be the order of the day - she's been very busy! Does Aaron sew them or you?
Poor Kathy - we've almost been in our house for a year but I can still smell the cardboard and packing tape and see some boxes that haven't been unpacked! What a result though, finding a whole new stash - you won't have to buy any expensive French wool at this rate!
    Night all x
