Hight Jena and hi everyone for the morning.

You most certainly do not owe anyone anything Aeshna! Some can handle talking/writing about it, others find it hard, I couldn't even say the actual c word for a year!! Tell me this much though, just out of interest, are you still managing? If you'd sooner ignore the question then please do.

Just a thought, everyone here will think we're either absolutely bonkers or in a Knitters club for holics! :rotfl:If that were the case I'd have won as I've not done any for a few years! If ever you want to visit us you know where we are and it'll be good to see you, but don't feel it's necessary, it isn't.

    Good luck everyone.

    Hi all,

Thanks K2tog and Roamin for the info.

I finally knitted a Vent Hat & crocheted the string, my "proxy" knitter also started on the hats, but as she can't crochet I'll have to do her strings as well - what a price to pay!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to post her totals separately, she's been quite prolific since I set her off - think I'll call her PamsPal. she's shy :rotfl:(only when it comes to posting on a thread)

Thanks to everyone who complimented my blanket pattern you're very kind.:o -
BEWARE - I might just do another one.

    night, night.

    luv
    Pam

Hi all. Pam - PamsPal is more than welcome here!

Sue UU - I take it you are referring to giving up smoking? If so, good luck! I'm sure knitting will help.

Shaz - hope things are looking up for you today. Please don't feel under pressure to knit if you have other things going on in your life. We all have busy lives; I'm finding it hard to knit one stitch, let alone a complete item, even if it is only a ten minute bootie!

For all who don't know, from now on I shall update on a Sunday evening - apart from Sunday 22nd March, when we'll be driving to our new home and unloading all the furniture - so I'd be really grateful if everyone would keep their own weekly running total, and then post a 'Weekly Total' post over the weekend. Some of you have busy weekends, I know, but as long as you post your weekly totals with a title (such as 'Weekly Total' or something similar), I shall look out for them during the week and add them at the weekend. But, as I have said to Shazrobo, please, please don't feel under pressure to knit - fit it in with your own lives.

Well, I'd better get on and do something constructive towards the move - I still have letters to write and so on.

    See you all later.

Help please are the Vent Hats 4 ply yarn?

K2tog - I did it on two needles - but circular would work if you wanted.

    Pam
the vent hats can be 4ply or dk, i know shelley uses all sizes and the 4 ply came out really small when i have made them in the past

Somebody posted a new boob bottom (now that could be interesting:eek: )
It was a knitted one that was easier than the published one. Any help?

Kathy - when I post my totals on Saturday evening/Sunday morning I will do them like this....

    .....Kathy

    .....Pippa.S totals for the week
.....and whatever they are highlighted in red underneath.

craftlady - I missed the new "boob bottom" as well, it must have been when I was on holiday ;)

shazrobo - take it easy and just do what you can, as and when time allows, there's no rush or deadline as there is always an on going need for everything we make x

    morning all
prfungi the little blanket pattern looks lovely:T

craftlady welcome again to our thread sorry your last question didnt get answered, not sure which boob pattern you have looked at the one i use is the all in one pattern where you start of knitting the base and end up on the nipple. i know some people have mentioned knitting the base seperately and sewing them together but that sounds like extra work to me. i find the all in one pattern quick and easy once you get used to it. I think i printed mine off the LH site.

I had a call from the organiser of the friends of the choir group last night and i mentioned this thread and said a couple of people on here had kindly offered to knit bits for the choir, she was absolutely knocked out by what we do and the fact people would be kind enough to knit for a church choir in a town they'd probally never even heard of. So a big thank you again to SGT and purpleteddybear.

I'm fast running out of decent wools downstairs, i've got no chick yellow or baby wools left now so ive started knitting little hanging bauble type creme egg holders to use little bits of bright colours up. THing is there is still too much wool hanging around to justify buying more supplies so im going to have to resort to hiding some today as i want to restock on baby wools at Aldi while its on offer so i can still do some preemieUK things.
My stash seems to cosist of mohair (nice pale pink but no good for babes- any suggestions anyone?) nice chunky wool and lots of dark colours will be fine for knitting for older peoples stuff for LH i think scarves hats blanket squares etc.

Have a brill day all and i hope you all amnage to find some knitting time in it somewhere;) .
