why are people so judgemental?? Apparantly it's funny that I am a 21 yr old that knits!! Then when I tell them it's because of what you all do that inspired me to learn how to knit I get told off for being moody and having an outburst!!!

Cheer up s michaels. Grin knowingly when people have a go. You feel sorry for them missing out of one of lifes great pleasures.

Hi everyone! I found an easy way to hide my stash - i bought those vacuum space saver bags from argos (large ones are half price at moment).
Put all my yarn in them, vacuumed the air out and slid the result under the bed! I now have my wardrobe back for clothes! :T
  • OOh SevenUp - there's an idea! If I put all the blanket box wool into vac bags and squished them down, I would have more room for LOTS more!!! :D

    (oops, don't think that's the general idea.....)

Hi all - I'm taking a break from the packing and cannot believe how many boxes of books we've packed. I've counted eight (and I haven't started on my knitting and crochet ones!). DH is beginning to wish I hadn't learnt to read! Books and wool - my two bad habits! I've laughed reading about how the rest of you are addicted, and I'm very sorry that this has happened to you. Please apologise to your DHs, but explain that there are plenty of worse things you could be doing! Besides Chez Mioliere's Knitting Retreat, I'm thinking of adding a Knitters' Psychotherapy Unit - not to try and 'cure' you, but to help you come to terms with your addictions and say 'Yes' to wool!

Anyway, Worleite - who joined us a few weeks ago - has pm'd me her totals so I shall add them when I update on Sunday, along with Mrs Moneypenny's latest, and anyone else's that I see posted along the way. As long as you make your weekly updating post noticeable, I shouldn't miss them!

Craftlady - I loved the photos of your girls - they all look gorgeous, and it's great that they're learning so early. Well done to them, and to you for taking the time to encourage them!

Maytaurus - are you OK? I know your Mum has been unwell so I hope she is doing better. (((Hugs))) to her.

Well, I'm off to pack a bit more and then get on with the dinner!

    I'll call back later.

    Hi everyone

It seems such a long time since I posted on here. I do check the thread every day but work gets in the way and I can only post occasionally. Looks like everyone has been really busy.:o

Kathy - I do hope your move goes really smoothly, I'm sure it will. All the hard work leading up to the move will be worth it in the end, I'm sure. Look forward to hearing about it when you're settled.
I'll try to get back on here again on Saturday to post my latest items.

prfungi - thanks so much for the blanket pattern - I tend to knit blankets quite regularly as I can sit and knit "mindlessly" from the garter stitch pattern I've got, but this one looks a bit more challenging so I'm eager to give it a go. :T

maytaurus - you must have read my mind - I was going to ask if anyone had a pattern for a knitted top down cardie, and you had just posted one. I'm glad to see the booties patterns too - I struggled with the pattern I had when I had to pick up stitches for the instep. These look much more the sort of thing I can handle. ;)
And I love your wonderful pictures. Even if I can only quickly take a look at the thread they have brightened up my day so many times.:D

Must check out how to do my running totals at the bottom of my message - I know I saw instructions on here somewhere!!!

Enjoy your evening everyone, happy knitting!

    Helen
