Hi everyone - this is the Baby Blanket I've been working on. The colour is actually lemon - its about 20" square - nice & straightforward - just knit & purl - no twisting.

Shezmit - I can write up the pattern if you'd like it. Let me know when you've seen it.
Will have a parcel in the post tomorrow or Friday latest.

    luv

Pippa - a lizard! That poor dinosaur! Your description is even worse - he'll get a personality complex!

Maytaurus - trust you to come up with the perfect picture of Roamin in the gloamin's poor teddy! I really really loved the cat picture, thanks for posting it!

No knitting done today at all, although I've looked longingly at my wool and needles on the table next to my end of the sofa (the end with the dent in the cushions where I fall asleep!) I shall try again this evening. I get so cross when I doze off because I really really want to knit! I think if I try 1" squares, I might accomplish one!

I'm off to look at Bonjour Teddy. I shall say 'Bon jour, mon cherie; on cherche si beau' in my bestest French. Sorry, Jean, I bet I got that wrong somewhere!

    Hi All
Love all the pics! Prfungi, that blanket looks lovely - did you do it on 2 needles or a circular? I'm plodding on with DS1s jumper with other bits in between to keep me sane. I've noticed that everyone is commenting on growing stashes and have formulated a theory - get ready...
I have a few things on the go at the moment but seem to slow down when I get near the end of a larger project (namely, jumpers) and I think it's because I know the sewing up:( bit is to follow so stash gets replenished for new projects and all my bigger stuff takes up residence on the needles forever! Is this the same for anyone else or am I uniquely phobic?:rotfl:
Shelley, I'm aiming to get a parcel to you on Saturday and will have a go at the flap hat as I haven't done one yet.
Can't remember who suggested getting together but it sounds like a great idea.
Good to see you again Shazrobo, hope you start having an easier time with them soon.

K2tog - I did it on two needles - but circular would work if you wanted.

prfungi - dk I think. Most things are.
Ooooh no re the circulars - haven't been brave enough to try them yet, or dpns but trying to get brave enough!
  • prfungi, what a really sweet wee blanket I might be tempted to give it a go, I like a change. I do the vent hats on the knitting machine in 4 ply, I don't like knitting needles very much but I am not sure if that helps you, perhaps someone knowledgeable will be along shortly to help you. Off to print the pattern out.

PSSO - that picture must have been taken from a photo of me dozing off with my knitting!

Prfungi - I love the blanket pattern and have printed it off, thanks for posting it on here for us.

Pippa - someone will definitely love your dino!

Well, I'm off to sit down and try and get something knitted or crocheted.

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't posted for ages - I find it really relaxing to read the posts at bedtime as I have been really busy at work but am usually too tired to make a sensible reply! So congratulations and good luck to everyone for new grandchildren, moves to France and Spain, bungee jumping and everything else you've been getting up to! Thanks too for all the links to bargain wool, patterns and great pictures. I will update my totals at the weekend but I am pleased to say I have finished a blanket and sleeping bag and only have two things on the go at the moment - a cardi and a giraffe. Promise I'll finish them before I start anything else - well, I WILL try but I have a really nice ball of random yarn in front of me and I just want to see how it will work up ......

    Night night all
