Now that you have a dedicated cupboard - with shelves even, I WANT ONE, or perhaps a whole new shed, certain it would be the best place for me and my assorted knitting and sewing bits and bobs. Cor I could be happy, knowing my luck if I mention it I WILL end up in the shed - along with all the gardening equipment yuk!:eek:.

Still around, just fiercely busy. Not getting much knitting done sorry. Trying to keep reading the thread but struggling to find time to post! Some of the updates always astound me, well done all.

HI Shezmit, thanks for that, as everyone knows I was concerned about the sizes - I didn't want to do too much without checking.

Yesterday I had a lovely day - I knitted a gown in the really snuggly yarn but a pale apricot, will do the hat later today. I called in a local charity shop and asked for knitting needles - the lady laughed and from a cupboard brought me a big bag full of needles & "things" too much to sort through there and then, so I gave her £10 for the lot and 5 balls baby wool.
I spent a couple of hour sorting them out - about a third were broken or rusty- many are old english sized but easily checked. Anyway - I ended up with: 35prs, + 4 x4 dpn, + 9 circular needles (yes 9) + a complete wallet of crochet hooks and a wallet containing Needle Guage, cable needles, stitch holder and a stitch/row counter.
Now that's what I call a bargain. - I hugged myself with glee :T
Over half of them are the shorter length which is great. There are a good number of fine needles - even a size 2.0mm. I'm going to check at Mums residential home to see if they could use any but after that I'm happy to send any spares to whoever may need them - any suggestions?

Mioliere - now I know they're ok - please add 1 Bunting, 1 stretchy hat, 1 small Blanket.

Now off for Brunch with my neighbour.

I've got a mint square and a purple one, just hoping they are the same wool as I can never remember which make I've been using

Got one white one but waiting for my sis to take me to shops for more wool, and she's stuck in the house waiting for a parcel. Hopefully get there sometime today.

I'll post them Monday, along with any other bits I have done (including this darned shimmer cardigan - remind me *never* to knit anything where I have to pick up stitches again... I'm blooming hopeless at it :mad:). I'll also include £5 sponsor money in the parcel, so you can go ahead and put my name down.

Hi everyone,

I hope I'm not to late to join, your all doing a brilliant job on here and I would love to be part of it.
I was on here last week reading through and as I haven't knitted for a few years now, I just wanted to see if I could still do it before signing up.

So far I've knitted one baby hat and one innocent smoothie hat.

I would love to have a go at the dinosaurs but I can't get the link to open.
