S-Michaels - that's great. I compared a meerkat and found one that 'lives' and knits in my home town of Weston-super-Mare! Spooky! It was great seeing a photo of him on the beach - I haven't been to W-s-M for a few years now.

my kids love that site and were only on it last night. my eldest DS does the most hysterical meerkat impression and can hold entire conversations in meerkat:rotfl: . last year he spent a whole term talking 'scottish pirate' according to one of his teachers at parents evening. Cant you tell drama and acting are his favourite subjects;)

Mrs Moneypenny - I'd love to hear your DS! I shall introduce my grandchildren to the site this afternoon! You wouldn't think I was efficient if you could see me right now! I am surrounded by boxes, have lists of lists of further lists stuck on any available surface, my DH has started sorting all his tools out so they are all over the place (he's gone up to his sister's an hour or so away, for the day - she has lots of baby things for my DS2 and wife's forthcoming baby, and he has gone to collect them all.) It's just nice to have the house to myself; I can think straight on my own! As it is, I think there is so much to do that I will end up getting up even earlier in the mornings! To top it all off, I have just been sent some freelance work that needs to be done by tomorrow lunchtime! Oh, woe is me! I love to be efficient and upheavals - especially the moving house sort - really throw me out!

Anyway, I feel better having had that rant! Sorry, folks!

  • Hi everyone. Love the compare the meerkats! I think the adverts are brill too. I have nothing to add to the totals today, but I did manage to finish the fronts of the baby cardigan, so only button bands and neck to pick up. The washing and ironing won last night - but now the laundry baskets are empty!!

    Have a good day.

Hi everyone - mioliere are you moving? very stressful and you are right you can think straighter without them! OH has emailed me this morning to ask for our new address - errrrr you have been living in it for 2 weeks hmmmmm men! The funny thing is that if you had asked me how much wool I had before I moved I would have said well a large carrier bag - I couldnt believe it when I went behind the back of my chair - 2 bin bags full! To think that a few months ago I had a few balls of wool and told you I was only going to do squares!!!

When you get a chance can you update me with 2 x Innocent Smoothy Hats - where do these need sending? (I have only done plain ones but may add a pom pom or a plat or something)

Shezmit - sorry I should have sent my buntings off to you - will try to get in post by end of week - can you let me know when they arrive that they are OK - as as they are my first lot I am a bit worried about them......

Best wishes and hugs to you all f1widow xx

PS Thanks for the explanation on "Aaron Squares" and a big well done to Aaron for knitting - I will try and get some done as well

Help please - would someone tell me how wide a bunting should be. I have cast on 34 stitches per the pattern and the width is about 6 1/2 inches I feel this cant be wide enough, my tension looks good and suits the yarn I'm using so if I can confirm the width I need I'll be happy.

    Many thanks

    Pam
Hi I have just measured mine and they are approx 6 3/4 - 7" depending on make of wool I have used - if that is any help
