That's wonderful Shelley, and especially so in these rough times.
I got a parcel sent off to you this morning. Bought a plastic envelope in the post office and stood there stuffing all the bits and pieces in. Couldn't even manage to seal the bag without messing up
Just made a gown and bonnet in white shimmer wool. Made the smaller size this time. Trying to decide what to do next.
And you're *really* doing a jump? I feel sick already. I am well known in my family for my fear of heights. I really don't even dare stand on a chairGood luck, and if you're looking for sponsors I'll gladly send you a fiver.

Aeshna - thanks for your posting - I am only whispering this but I do actually like the racing as well - its just hubby works in F1 so we kinda live, eat, sleep, watch it etc etc and I dont like to let on to him that I do actually enjoy it - my son is 8 on Sunday and when he was due I was overdue so hubby said either have it by Sunday (1st race of season) or you will have to wait !!!!!! Needless to say with the help of the wonderful team at the hospital my Son was able to watch his first grand prix race with his dad at the age of 3 days old (whilst Mum went and had a well earned sleep ha ha)
itsloopylisa - I think that is where I am going wrong - my tension can be quite tight sometimes - I will give it another go otherwise it may be up for grabs on here ha ha
shezmit - ooooooooohhhhhhh - you are so brave!!! well done you for being up for it.

Shelley - that's so brave. Like LC Wilson, I have a fear of heights and don't even like high kerbs on pavements! Good luck! Raising £100 in 9 days is phenomenal - well done to you and to all those generous givers.
Aeshna - the red in your sig is fine, thanks! It's a great help when people keep their totals in their sigs and it will help when I am incommunicado while I am moving. I hope not to be out of contact for too long and am aiming to get the internet ready to hook up to as soon as we unlock the front door!
Well, I'm going to sit down with my knitting now!
Have a good evening, everyone!

Hi all unfortunately I don't have anything to add today despite being MIA for a few days - have had a few migraines unfortunately! Well done on raising £100 in just 9 days - its amazing! Shezmit fantastic of you to do a bungee jump too - not afraid of heights - but never in a million would I be as brave as yourself! I too would like to sponsor you a fiver - shall I send it to preemies or a different one?0

i am getting my sponsor form tomorrow so you can send sponsor money after that, All to Preemies address. All money raised from the jump is going to cancer research and comic relief, I am so excited and scared at the same time, i hate heights but its for charity and it will be once in a lifetime chance to do this as well.

Help please - would someone tell me how wide a bunting should be. I have cast on 34 stitches per the pattern and the width is about 6 1/2 inches I feel this cant be wide enough, my tension looks good and suits the yarn I'm using so if I can confirm the width I need I'll be happy.
Many thanks

Shelley, what a fabulous result from the Teddy's round of the pubs! I take my hat off to you for the bungee jump, I don't have any issues with heights, but there's no way you'd get me doing that! Good for you!! :T
prfungi, I was astonished at the size of the bunting too, but I think you'll find it's just right, many knitters here have said that the first bunting is always rather sad when you consider the size of it.
