Hi all - lots of items to add again. Well done and thanks to all of you! I spent most of yesterday packing my books (hundreds of them!), but I've made some preemie booties and a vent hat (which I've crocheted but not followed the pattern because I made a mess of it last time I tried it!). I'm not sure if my version is suitable, Shezmit, but will send it to you to see what you think!

Shezmit - is there one item you need more than others, or are they all in demand?

LC Wilson - that gown is gorgeous and looks as it if would take much longer than six hours, so well done.

Maytaurus - are you OK? Haven't heard from you for a while. I hope you are well.

My PC is being 'serviced' on Wednesday evening. It's not as well as it should be and keeps going on a 'go-slow'. I've got used to it but DS2 said it would drive him mad if it was his and should be a lot quicker, so I need to get it sorted before we move. I'm not sure how long the service will take or whether it will need to be taken away to be worked on, so, if I'm not here on Thursday, you'll know why! I'll remind everyone during Wednesday, anyway. I hope it's not offline for long - how can I live without it? Or, more importantly, without MSE?!

Anyway, off to update with all your lovely items. Have a great day.

PLEASE NOTE: Thanks to everyone for such a good response to Chalky's appeal for the orphanage in Spain. Her SIL has arrived with all our items, and they have been delivered to the orphanage. Chalky has posted some great photos on page 27 of this thread. I think we will have made a big difference to a baby who arrived there with nothing; doesn't it make you feel good?!

Hi Shezmit - have been waiting till I have a decent sized parcel, but I'll send off the 3 little hats I've done so far asap - please could you just let me know if the yarn is soft enough, I've got the heebie-jeebies after Nikki's experience! and I live in the sticks without a car so want to be sure it's right before getting a friend to get me some more.
Kathy, please could you update me 3 more baby hats - thanks, and hope your preparations are going well.
    Have a good day everyone,

morning all hope that you are all well. i have been thinking about graduating from squares and was looking at the bunting pattern, however, i think i must be silly as i dont understand it.

i can see that you cast on, then knit a couple of rows and then knit 1, knit 2 together, YO and repeat to the end of the row. doesn't this decrease the number of stitches and keep them at that level? when do you increase the number back?

    can someone help please?

Redhead Mum - thanks for your kind words.

DPixie - the bunting is really easy. On the 'knit 2 tog, YO row', the YO becomes a stitch you knit into on the next row. It will feel loose but you knit into each YO as you would a normal stitch. When you have finished the row, you'll have magically created a row of holes through which you thread the ribbons or cords. Shezmit will take them without ribbons or cords, so don't worry about that bit!
