Welcome SuziQ5!! This thread is getting busier by the day, it's wonderful!

Could you update me with one baby bunting please Kathy.

Shelley, I've got a lot of baby wool so I'm going to plough on for the next few days and try to get some more done before I send the buntings off to you - is the address for Preemies on the first page or in a link I've missed?

Also, I got a good quantity of wool via freecycle this week, but it's aran - can anyone suggest the best use of it for this thread?

I love working with Aran - I would suggest lapgans or similar - maybe for the elderly

Good morning everyone and thanks to you all for your good wishes about my imminent move across the channel!

Mrs Moneypenny - it's a shock to me, too! We've talked about it for a while now but, as it's getting harder and harder for my DH to find work here, we've decided to go to our house in France, finish doing it up, sell it and then decide whether to come back here or stay there. I know we'll come back because I'll miss the family too much! We hope to be able to end up with a house here and a smaller holiday home in France, so fingers crossed. I shall only be 'away' from here for a short while when the actual move takes place, but the internet connection is one of the things I shall put in place before we get there, so that I can set the PC up asap and come back on here! I'm hoping that it won't be long before I am back to normal!

SuziQ5 - welcome to you and thanks to Jena for telling you about us!

Shaz - well done on your dinosaur!

LC Wilson - hope you managed to get some sleep.

Last night I finished crocheting a set (cardi, hat and booties) for my next grandchild, due in August, so I'll make the cardi in a smaller size for Preemies UK. It was superquick to make and an easy pattern.

Well, I shall update in the next post.

It's the 1st March and February has been an amazing month on here, our most successful ever, so thanks to you all for all you have done, thanks to all the newbies who have joined us, and thanks for all your generosity of time, materials and sheer enthusiasm - it still takes my breath away how this simple idea has grown and grown! Thank you, everyone! A gold star for each of you.

PLEASE NOTE: Thanks to everyone for such a good response to Chalky's appeal for the orphanage in Spain. Her SIL has arrived with all our items, and they have been delivered to the orphanage. Chalky has posted some great photos on page 27 of this thread. I think we will have made a big difference to a baby who arrived there with nothing; doesn't it make you feel good?!

first carboot of the season picked up a big bag of little odds and ends (mostly small balls) for £1.25 lots of baby colours in there:T and got 600grms of chunky in a nice cream marl for only £3.

I know i didnt need any more wool but im low on baby colours and i can justify it now shelly has said preemies are short of things;) .

been mostly concentrating on my sons blanket this weekend but i must pull some creme egg ducks and some preemie bits in as well today
