Chalky has posted some great photos on page 27 of this thread. I think we will have made a big difference to a baby who arrived there with nothing; doesn't it make you feel good?!

Hi there - I've been putting eyes in Shezmit's Easter chicks, and the best way I've found is to tie two knots, one on top of the other, in the middle of a piece of black wool leaving ends long enough to sew through to the other side. Sew each end in making sure the knot sits in the eye position. It makes the eye stand up a bit, away from the background.

I hope I've explained it well! It was the best of the three ways I tried!

hello again. Can anyone help. I have 50gm ball of snowflake double knitting - will this be ok for baby hats - or should i use it for something else. Its nice and soft when its knitted up - but I find it quite hard to knit with.

I just can't keep up with you all - and that's just this thread, not to mention the knitting! I think I've become addicted to searching for the ideal project to knit, so keep trawling this and other websites till I go cross-eyed.

I've given the needles a bit of exercise though so Mioliere

Have you tried putting some thin material over it and using a steam iron ?
