The only things i could point out that were slight negatives was that the 2 plasmas had been well used and the in built tv speakers had taken a helluva pounding and that the carpet hadnt been hoovered before our arrival.
Apart from that I thought the place was spot on, clean, tidy and very presentable and one of the best places Ive stayed in and would definately stay there again.
Don't get me wrong, I would stay there again if the price were right, but there are too many nicer places now that are as competitive on prices as TheHotel, with much better locations and newer, such as Signature, Platinum, Encore and WynnThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
The Bellagio FountainsWe getting married next year and just wondering if anyone has got married in The Signature?
We have looked at loads of hotels and this one always gets highly recomended
While the suites at the Signature really are nice, I'm not sure if it's suitable for a wedding. I'm pretty sure they don't have a chapel although they do have conference rooms and they don't really have "grounds" so that you could do it outside.0 -
It will only be the 2 of us anyway no family etc.0

There is four of us going,we all want separate beds, want to be on the strip (I mean ON the strip not, somewhere like the stratosphere, which expedia classes as the strip). Generally, would it be cheaper to get two rooms with two queen beds in each or get a suite. What sort of distance pricewise is there?
In most cases prices are based on double occupancy - and for each additional person over 2 it's typically $30 to $50 more a night per person, even on the suites...so I agree with Froggitt that two rooms makes more sense.
The only thing is that you won't be able to guarantee 2 queen beds - it will be a request only...I think that in general there are more 2 queen rooms than 1 king rooms so likely you would get your preference but possible you won't...you'll want to be flexible about your smoking preference to have the best chance of getting 2 queens.
As for location, plenty of people here love IP so it's likely a good, reasonbly priced option for you. Other mid-strip properties to consider would be Bill's, Flamingo, Harrah's, possibly Bally's...but depends on what you're looking for in terms of what the hotel has to offer.
Also, the Stratosphere is on the strip...it just happens to be waaaaay at the end of it.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The Bellagio FountainsCan anyone tell me if the $20 at check in works at Paris or if it's worth it? Two weeks and we are off hubby says he will give it a go but I am a bit nervous, don't want to make fools of ourselves! Took your advice and booked second section for CDC LOVE for all four of us, with smartervegas on the 40% deal. Looking at the maps Paris is not too far away from Mirage?
I had read umpteen reviews on TA where the $20 trick had bombed and people were told how much the upgrade was instead so I decided not to bother even trying so didn't even have the $20 to hand.
Checked in around 7pm and there were only 2 desks open. The clerk said there wasn't a king room available and we were just about to accept 2 queens when he said a king had just become available and it was an upgrade to a Red Room Luxury. He said it should have been an extra $40 a night and even though we were staying 4 nights he would give it to us. I quickly whipped out $20 and he seemed very happy to get it.0 -

Don't worry about asking for an upgrade with a [STRIKE]bribe[/STRIKE] tip, Vegas works on tips, and the check in clerks miss out big time to almost everyone else. I have been asking for upgrades for the last 5-7 years and only once been knocked back (Bellagio asking for a lake view), so in the last 20 or so trips we only struck out once. I have 2x$20 bills open and placed inside my passport (this is so they can see that you are offering more than $20 straight away, as they will not want to be seen unfolding your cash) As they open your passport the money falls out onto the counter, and i say "and that is for you if you can find me an "x" room", it's always best to do your homework on the hotel and ask for a particular type of room, if you just say "can you find me something nice" you might just get a standard room with a view on a higher floor. Remember to put on your best British accent as well!!The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. The Bellagio FountainsDon't be disappointed if you can't get a 'P' room, I thought the 'Red' rooms were fantastic (helps when you don't know what you're missing though
) - but mainly as everything is so new at the moment (they're only 6 months old) - reading reviews, the original rooms were starting to look 'dated'.
If you can get a brand-new looking room, with a good view of the fountains, i think you'll be more than happy! (we were)

The Volcano @ MirageWord of warning on vegas deals and discount codes.
On Thursday MGM Mirage emailed all of their affilates that they are to remove any "emailed" special offers for any of their properties this is all the really good deals that have been piut up on sites like smartervegas, early vegas, fat wallet and vegasuncovered. All of the affiliates have been given a smaller selection (42 I think) of offers that they are allowed to post. All of these allowed offers are listed here http://www.vegasuncovered.com/pages/special_offers.htmIts Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time0 -
The Secret GardenFor those of you talking about the Signature, Luxury Suites have got some offers coming out at this link http://www.luxurysuitesintl.com/. You aren't booking direct with the Signature and I did have a problem with the room being cleaned when I got there which was soon sorted but the prices are quite good.
The email I got says this offer goes out for general release from the 24th June but the link goes straight to their website.
Hope that helps somebody,

The Fremont street experienceGoing to Vegas in Aug,then on to Hawaii and LA but after 3 nights in LA we are driving back to Vegas for 5 more nights. We have a night not booked and thought we would stopover on the drive to Vegas. Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a good stopover point possibly with somewhere to play a round of golf.
Thanks
