The Bellagio FountainsThanks Claire.
I used to think that TheHotel was the best room I had in Vegas but seeing those pics from WHD the place is starting to look a bit tired. Makes my opinion of the Encore being the top now more realistic.
I shall comment on your opinion once i return from encore next month:p:Dsarahlasvegas wrote: »Hi
My vegas wedding is fast approaching - panicing slightly!!
Im looking to buy something for my soon to be Mother and Father-in-law as a gift for helping with planning our wedding. Basically something instead of the usual flowers and hipflask/cufflinks type combo.
Any ideas? Im thinking maybe ticket for a show/gift voucher for meal - budget wise im thinking about 100-150dollars...any suggestions for something in that range?
Thanks
I think show tickets would be a great idea, and if you have a look a look for discounts on https://www.smartervegas.com you should have a good selection of shows within your budget. Another option would be to buy them a gift card for the hotel they are staying in (or any hotel really), that way they can chose what to spend it on themselves.:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
The Bellagio FountainsCan anyone tell me if the $20 at check in works at Paris or if it's worth it? Two weeks and we are off hubby says he will give it a go but I am a bit nervous, don't want to make fools of ourselves! Took your advice and booked second section for CDC LOVE for all four of us, with smartervegas on the 40% deal. Looking at the maps Paris is not too far away from Mirage?
Christa, have a read of this:

I'd politely ask if any upgrades were available and then tip if i got one. Others will be more direct and hand the money over as they ask. The front desk will be well used to people doing this so don't be afraid to ask. I think Stoneman recently got upgraded at Paris so you might want to search back through his posts to read his thoughts on it.:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -

Decent success rate for upgrades at Paris...worth a try, anyway!

Distance is relative in Vegas - things look closer than they are...it's not "too far" from Paris to Mirage in Vegas terms...but it's probably 1/2-3/4 of a mile or so on foot...certainly walkable when temperatures are reasonable, though may seem a lot longer in July heat!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I was thinking that too - both MGM and Harrah's have gift cards which can be used at many of their restaurants, spa and for some shows at several hotel/casinos within each group...so they could choose for themselves what they would like to do with it.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

you won't make a fool of yourself , they are well used to people doing it.
they will ask for your ID and Credit Card for check in , when handing it over have the $20 bill ready and say " Here's my ID and Credit Card plus my upgrade Voucher" . always gets a smile and has worked every time for me .
Stoneman stayed in Paris recently . i would advise you read back a few weeks and see what they said about the upgrade they got . :ABetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
The Bellagio FountainsWe getting married next year and just wondering if anyone has got married in The Signature?
We have looked at loads of hotels and this one always gets highly recomended0 -
Anyone got the $20 tip working at The Signature. Reading frontdesktip its 50/50. We be staying approx 7 days there and looking at it the people who tip a bit more get the right result as a good excuse. (wedding, Birthday, anniversary)0

I know this is ages in advance, but I am going back to vegas in sept 2010! There is four of us going,we all want separate beds, want to be on the strip (I mean ON the strip not, somewhere like the stratosphere, which expedia classes as the strip). Generally, would it be cheaper to get two rooms with two queen beds in each or get a suite. What sort of distance pricewise is there?
First thoughts are maybe stay at IP but open to suggestions,we stayed in Riviera last time and while it was ok (they were filming the hangover when we were there) , it wasn't great
Any tips?0 -
The Fremont street experienceSuites are usually megabucks compared to two times double queen bed rooms.....and still wont have four beds in them. I think youre looking for a two bed apartment!!!
IP/Riviera definitely budget end......for not much more a night (maybe ten quid or so per room) you could go for MGM Grand or TI or Paris or PH......a step up IMHO, but still not in the Venetian/Encore/Bellagio price category.illegitimi non carborundum0 -
