all the waste of time and money discussion goes to show that Vegas has a broad appeal - that's the best thing about it...so many people with so many different interests can get what they want out of a holiday there.

It's the main reason I'm rendered speechless when I hear of people who went to Vegas and found 'there was nothing for us to do'...of all places in the world, it seems to me it's the place where anyone should be able to find plenty that appeals to them.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Really cant understand why folk would waste their time & money going to see shows and musicals in Vegas!? its supposed to be a city of excess and debauchery - you can go and watch a show in London.

Need to do something in between the debauching sessions.

Just arrived home. Must say that the Encore was the best hotel ever, and we have stayed at most of the best in Vegas (except Four Seasons). Will not bother with T/R as all we did during the day was stay by the pool, and at night played slots and craps. Oh, and the shooting safaris.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Not quite Vegas but for those who like Cirque du Soleil shows (or for those who want to find out if they might), this show is supposed to be very good:

Just booked 2 tickets for the wife, just £57, for Saturday so I'll report back what she thought of it. We saw 'O' in Vegas recently and were totally blown away by it, one of the best things we've done in Vegas for certain.

    Hi all,

Quick question - my friends and I are heading out to Vegas on a stag do in September and a few of us play in a small pub poker league.

Do they have similar small hold 'em games in the casinos there? Do they have ridiculously high stakes or demand that you stay at the table for 12 hours?!

How likely is it you can find a small friendly game to sit down and play for a few hours against some strangers?!

    Cheers!

are we talking Cash games , Sit and Go one table tourneys or full multi table tournaments .

Cash games are easy to find . the lower down the luxury ladder the casino the lower the stakes as a rule .

Sit and Go's are harder to find . MGM grand your best bet

if you want to enter a Tourney then check out the schedule ( along with all the other poker advice ) on this site

Glad you had a good time :)
How about a hotel review about what made the Encore so exceptional instead ?

Welcome back and glad you liked Encore as much as we did! Hope the slots were kind to you.
