I agree with you - plus, upon arriving in Vegas the only thing I want to do is get to the hotel, get checked in, have a shower and hit the casino...personally, I would choose a limo ride at night some other time over one upon arrival - seems like it would be much more relaxed and enjoyable...though I suppose if it's a first trip and/or one with special significance, perhaps a limo ride upon arrival would be nice.

Well its not a first trip for most but it is for two, but it is a stag do - so we thought it would be a nice surprise for the groom on landing, hopefully get the driver to have 'big nose vvanker' or something like that on the name card in arrivals! plus its only about midday when we land so i dont think we will be too bothered about about checking in straight away, we might even nip to the crown!?

Anyway, booked with NTS Limo, got a 2008 stretch SUV for $125 per hour, an i reckon an hour will do. they will also stock the bar with beer for us, which is extra. all in all it only works out at about a tenner each, cheap as chips!

    I'm having trip report withdrawal.

I'm wondering how bounty's trip turned out...and looking forward to Morpheus and BillTrac's reports when they get a chance.

    Hi,

Was just interested how much people are actually paying for roughly for flight from a london airport for 7 nights in a 5 star vegas hotel.
I have been checking and found bellagio for under £600 including indirect flights via united or continental on expedia. It seems a good deal but was just wondering if anyone can do better or find/found under £500

I Can travel anytime so am flexible, your feedback would be most appreciated

Are you travelling alone or will there be more than one person in the room? What type of room at Bellagio (I assume it's their standard, base level room).

It would probably be worth pricing the flights themselves - then see what you've got left for the hotel on the dates you've checked and check what booking direct with Bellagio would cost. These things vary quite dramatically from week to week and sometimes day to day...so...there are also some great deals for Wynn out there at the moment.

    Hi,
thank you very much for your response.
I will be travelling with my wife and yes it would be the base room in bellagio,
I have found the flights for approx £330 but in nearly every site for bellagio they want on average for 7 nights £120 a night.

So would work out to £750 a person approx, compared to the £590 p/p on expedia (wynn comes up at roughly the same price as bellagio).
Is under £500 possible, or is this a really good deal? and I am being silly

From what you've said you have about £520 for the room (£590+£590-£330-£330)...at the current exchange rate thats $832 or thereabouts...or an average of $118 per night over 7 nights. It doesn't sound like a bad deal for Bellagio...given that their weekend rates are normally around $200 so will push the average over a week up even if other nights are cheaper...I'm not sure where is quoting £120/night average for Bellagio - that's extremely high for the weekdays I think - though depends on your dates, could be you're looking at a particularly expensive time of the year.

You need to check the Bellagio website and not 3rd party ones. However https://www.cityandshow.com often have good rates.

Check https://www.smartervegas.com for promo codes for booking direct with the hotel.

Just this minute back indoors from LV. God I am kn*****d!!...LOL

Room at IP was 8mx5m so no problems there, but the whole place needs a good going over. Easily the most worn of the hotels we visited. And the lifts were like russian roulette, whether the lift came back down to the Lobby level or not.

Internet acess reminded me of dial-up ten years ago. Considering the US is supposedly the major player in the world, their internet sucks big time. We tried several times to log-in and I honestly think they work on steam!

Flamingo buffet the best value, and we ate at several places

But as for the mexican creeps with the "girly" cards on the sidewalks outside the hotels, I seriously wanted to smack "em.

Hey. I stayed at the IP as well. Interested to know what type of room you had? I got an upgrade to a deluxe room due to going there for my 21st birthday. To be honest we found the rooms really nice and suitable. Nothing amazing but we paid $450 for 16 nights at the end of august 2008! The internet was absolutely fine (wireless) when we got it up and running... Had absolutely no problems with the lifts what so ever, and though the food in the place was incredible!

Plus it's got a nice "intro to vegas" type of casino floor. For example, the poker table was full of mildly tight aggressive players, so very easy for someone new to the game to sit down to without losing everything in 5 mins!

Don't think I'd go back to the IP but simply to get a change.

My friend and I played NL$200 every day for 17 days at plenty of diff casinos. Racked up comp points for food at various places, but I wonder if anywhere will comp rooms beforehand depending on hours played in the casino etc....?

If you have a Total Rewards card you could try logging into the website https://www.harrahs.com/MyTr.do put in your dates, and see what comes up - I normally choose all Vegas casinos and see what they offer at each - though they limit reservations to 7 consecutive nights which is a bit of a pain...once you get to the results for each hotel you can click on the + sign next to the total to see the details (i.e. if any nights are comped) to get an idea...if two of you will be staying in the same room there's a place for a 2nd person's TR number to be added. I would check both ways - with a companion and without - I've seen it be MORE with the 2nd TR number.

You can also look to see if you have any offers from MGM at https://www.playersclub.com/ - they don't have as nice a system as Harrah's - if you do have any offers you may have to call to book, or to find out the specifics.

I'm not too familar with any of the other clubs and overall casinos won't give a lot to poker players (as they don't make much from poker players) but my old boss used to get poker rate various places by calling.
