Lorraine's photos reminded me of this site which may be helpful...it's not completely comprehensive (Lorraine's IP photos are of a king room, the ones on this site are of a 2-queen room, etc.)...but it may be of some use.

Above each picture there may be a further description - like the Paris rooms say they are a P room...Bellagio photos are of a suite, Bally's say they are north tower (and go to show what I mean about being spoiled by room size there!)

    Hi guys

Does anyone know where in Vegas, other than the hotels, offers free Wifi? I was thinking of places like Starbucks and similar.

The answer may be in this thread, but wading through 100+ pages of the thread does not hold much appeal.

    Thanks

    I

I noticed Bally's description on their site say their rooms are 450sqft. That is the same as PH, MGM and Paris.

Tried it on my end and you're right - if you go through the Hot Deals section it doesn't give a place for a companion...so must only be when you go through the regular reservations section after logging in.

Hope it all gets sorted out anyway - it does sound like things are a bit wonky!

I faffed about with Bally's/Harrah's sites at lunchtime and did eventually get one where I could put in the companion's TR No. However when I put my no in it said I already had a booking so that didn't work!

It was also coming up with the standard non-logged in rates even when I was logged in and a night that should have been $65 was showing as $159!

I did eventually get the right rates to show after many attempts. However I better at least let Bally's reply to my email before I go ahead and book, but I'll be going for the "book Friday and cancel" if I have to.

After an anxious 2 weeks, my flights have finally been ticketed. I have gone onto the United site and found that I have the option to upgrade to Economy Plus for $97 each way. As far as I can make out, this just entitles us to up to 5" extra legroom, no free drinks or anything, nearer the front of the plane.

Does anyone know if this is worth doing, even just on the return leg? Or can you point me to any websites where it would be discussed.

Hmmm...well, from the photos I've seen at least of Paris and various MGM rooms, they do appear to be a whole lot smaller than all the Bally's rooms we've been in...perhaps it's all in the angles that the photos are shot? The photos on the site I posted of Bally's rooms are exactly what we're used to and do seem bigger there too...the MGM Grand Tower room looks to be a good size though...but even the Paris P room seems smaller and that's not the standard room.

Yes the Bally's rooms do look big on that site.

I also noticed on that site that there were 2 bottles of water in the bathroom. Are they complimentary or do you pay for them?

they stopped doing the water bottles I think - at least there were never any in our room last trip - but they were $4 each from what I can remember...we never used them - we always pick up 24 bottles of water from WalMart for about $4. :)
