Probably not-sorry with expedia if the freebies aren't listed-you don't usually get them

Hi, well me and my gf fly out to LA tomorrow and we will be in Vegas this time next week. Only downside is that I found out this week that I am probably being made redundant (will know for sure Tuesday).

Anyway has anyone thats been out recently seen Peepshow at tix4tonite, I know there is an offer at travelzoo but if I can get it cheaper there it would be better???

Also we were going to do a helicopter to the GC but probably cant now so I was thinking of either getting a coach or driving to the south rim and just wanted to know if anyone has driven and if they found it a bit too much driving for one day?

Has anyone played SnG poker in vegas, would quite like to give this a try but I am a bit worried as I've never played live before?

And lastly a big thanks to everyone who posts as this years (esp the MGM buffet deal) and last years threads have been a great help in our last 2 trips.

    Thanks
    Ian

Just tried and now it won't let me book the 19th on its own, or with a few days after included...but it WILL let me book the 18th to the 20th, etc...since the 19th is a Saturday, maybe it's closed to arrivals? Which would be odd as it's not the most expensive Saturday in September or anything on their various rates calendars...weird. Hope they are able to work something out! I wonder if you could book to include the Friday and then cancel the Friday. :)

Hmm I did wonder about the no Saturday arrivals, but it usually says NA on the calendar when I've seen this before.

Good idea about trying to book from the Friday and then cancelling the first night. Might try that from home over the weekend.

We drove, but stayed overnight...for me it would have been borderline too much driving for one day - but driving really tires me out and when I'm tired driving in the dark is a bad idea...if there would be 2 drivers, I would think it would be doable. It's an extremely straightforward route with very few directions, so it's not at all stressful. You'll be jetlagged anyway so could head out very early one morning, be there by lunchtime, have a wander around, and head back...or consider staying overnight at the canyon and head back early the next morning.

Either way, have a great trip - hope all works out with work...terrible timing that...

    Hi

Could you please advise who what where the best place/company to organise a limo from the airport - a google search brings up endless results so a little help from people with experience would be welcome.

    Thanks.

Oh were only going to the Excalibur which i know isnt far, so preferably we would like it to drive downtown then cruise back up the strip. we need a limo that includes champagne too.

Also what is the situation with free drinks on flights these days, we are flying thomas cook and im told we have to pay for all our drinks - i phoned our agent and they said all airlines have abolished free drinks - is this true?

11 hours is a long time to be paying for it!

I meant to ask, have you checked rates using both your TR cards? One logged in, and the other in the companion field?

If it were me I'd stick with your IP reservation as it's at a good location close to all the hotels at the more northern end of the strip.....having 2 hotels nearer the south end will mean a lot of walking or taxi/deuce fares if you want to visit properties like Harrah's TI,Mirage, etc
Plus IMO there is more to do at the IP end and has the added bonus of bars where the drinks are cheaper.....however at the end of the day it's your choice.....the IP is a slightly more dated hotel but we like it and will be returning again next year

thanks to all for their thoughts. decided to stay as we are so we have two hotels on either end of the strip. want to keep NYNY and have free upgrade to park view strip room. will wait and see if any good offers appear for hotels instead of the IP but in that area. Was a bit worried about IP due to mixed reviews but those that have gone recently say it is ok and we only paid approx £100 for 4 nights midweek in october.
    thanks again,
    steve.
