Where do you find the time of day to look all this stuff up!!
Honest, you are a google whizz.
We didn't know about the tax stuff so thought we would play it safe. I can't get my head around how you would have to pay tax on a slot win and not a table game win though.
So if he had hit 6 points, that pays out 1000 to one so we would have been liable, but how would they know. Unless at that point they brought a supervisor down to sort out the forms, we could just walk away with the winnings and cash them in a little at a time

Hey, glad to hear of your success on the tables ! How did the Shooting Safari go ? I felt like Big Clint out there with the old 44 Magnum, awesome experience, will definately go again next time in Vegas.

He remembered you Steve, said that the battery ran out on the camera so you didn't get any pics. I am gonna post some photos on here. Certainly the best thing we have ever done in Vegas, already booked him for lter this month. $85 for 2 for 3 hours, can't beat it!!
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Thanks for the reply claire.I think west rim would be the best as we would love to land on the canyon floor.Helicopter it is then.Does anyone out there know any good deals??

I have been to both and IMHO the West Rim is not worth the time or money if they did not have the skywalk and if you could not get there fairly cheaply by helicopter directly form Vegas no one would go. The fact that you are allowed to land on the canyon floor by helicopter is testament to how much the US value this.

Got to the South (or you have the time) the North Rim. Below arte photos of each I have tried to be objective by taking the best photos of each. Remember the west Rim is not in the Grand Canyon National park going there is a bit like taking a trip to London but only going as far as Croydon

Hey, stoneman - how was Paris? Did you get upgraded to a Red Room?
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Forgot to mention that there is a shuttle from Paris to the Rio near the valet parking on Paris Drive, near the Arc de Triomphe.

There is also a shuttle from the MGM to the Hard Rock Hotel every 30 mins between 9.15am and I think 10pm. You catch it outside the door near the West Wing Bar at the side of the Grand Canyon Experience.

    Hi there,
Arrived back from Vegas this morning after a 5 night stay at the Wynn.

Had a fantastic time, the Wynn was amazing, our room was huge and facing down the strip towards Treasure Island, an amazing sight after dark!
We did the helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, booked through Sundance Helicopter tours. My first time up in a helicopter so I was a bit (!!) scared, but the pilot was lovely, very reassuring & I have to say it was quite an experience.
We went to see "O" at the Bellagio which was the most amazing show I have ever seen! I would quite happily sit through it another 10 times, mind blowing!
I loved the fountains at the Bellagio, they were playing Viva Las Vegas when we watched, it was spectacular!
We ate at the Grand Lux Cafe which was recommended on here (thanks)! We had the buffet at the Bellagio and at the Wynn (I personally preferred the Bellagio), we had breakfast buffet at the Wynn and Breakfast at Dennys (My fav)!! Also ate at the Peppermill, again enjoyable.
Went to the Premium Outlets at Charleston Blvd, got a cab costing around $15.00 got all my Christmas Presents!!
Also got a cab to Walmart to pick up some Ben 10 toys and Wrestling T-shirts & other bits we can't get other here, that cost another $20 each way, but well worth the trip to keep the nippers happy!
Played a few slot machines and roulette which we ended up evens on. Enjoyed people watching in the Parasol Down bar at the Wynn and watching the magical fountain light up every 15 minutes.

All in all a very enjoyable trip!! Thanks for all your advice!

We have 5 nights at the wynn coming up in a couple of weeks. Any tips for the hotel you can share?? Did you try a tip for an upgrade at all?

Also wondering about internet access, would you know what the charge is for access in the room?

    Lee
