The Bellagio FountainsI don't know if this is helpful or not, but netflights have some sub-£300 flights from London to Vegas in August and September.
http://www.netflights.com/airlineoffers/air-france/?partner=eshotadgroup=eshot01May09
Looks like they're sold as Air France flights, but are operated by Delta, at least on the days I've checked.
Just booked from LGW for September as the flights were cheaper and they get into Vegas earlier than the LHR flights. £295 each!!
That will be the 4th trip this year and the last. We are no longer going in the winter months, too bloody cold at night:eek:The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

LOL - I am hurting I was meant to be in Vegas now for the Hatton fight with the boys but SEW Jnr on the way has stopped that and the the trip in September as baby due October. I can not see that I will last to the end of the year though and I have enough points for a couple of free flights on United or 1 in business just not quite sure how to fit it in.
Who are the flights from LGW with ? USAir ? I think that they are a good airline again I would fly with them before Branson's stinky airlineIts Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time0 -

The Bellagio Fountainsi booked the mgm grand a few weeks ago under the exclusive offer which states Daily access to the Grand Buffet for 2 people, was on another website today and they stated that is meant breakfast lunch and dinner, i did a quick search of this forum and that someone rang in and was told 2 buffet passes per day to one brakfast lunch or dinner. has anyone else contacted the mgm? or can anyone help clarify the answer?
many thanks
I was one who called and was told it was 2 buffet passes per day...I called and read the terms from the offer and explained that I wasn't sure what that meant...the person I spoke to said that they were free buffets (she said free buffets, I didn't ask if they were free buffets)...I asked something like 'so I could use one for breakfast and one for lunch?' or something similar and was told yes.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The Bellagio FountainsJust a warning, NWA and Delta are now charging for a second bag, $50!!
I phoned them and asked that as I had booked last year when it was a 2 bag allowence that I should be able to get what I had paid for at the time (although I only paid £195). No dice, they are insisting that all travelers will be charged for second bag.
That's rubbish...when AA changed their policy last year they didn't hit those of us who had booked before the change with it.
And $50?! That's nuts.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The Bellagio FountainsAnyway, the first room was a suite!!! but the view wasn't great. By the next day when we got to the Red room it was tiny, and the tower was right smack in the middle of our view of the fountains. Wish we had stayed in the first room. Would stay there again but wouldn't carp for a Red room, would hope to get a suite. Ask for a "P" room, that was the type of suite we got
Ah, that sucks then...I've read that Paris standard rooms are on the small side (and sounds like the red rooms may just be refurbished standard rooms then)...that's what makes me not want to stay there...we're so used to Bally's huge rooms that I'm afraid we'd feel cramped if we didn't get lucky enough to get a P room.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Just looked on Delta website with regards to the 2 baggage charges and found this:
Checked Baggage—International
Currently when traveling to or from cities outside the United States you can check two bags, per passenger at no extra charge. For tickets purchased on or after April 22, 2009 for travel beginning July 1, 2009, customers in economy class will be charged $50 US (or the local equivalent currency) for the second checked bag. Exceptions to the second checked bag fee include:- First and Business Class passengers
- SkyMiles and WorldPerks Elite members (Executive/Platinum/Gold and Silver, including Flying Colonels)
- Active duty military members traveling on orders
- Passengers who purchased tickets prior to April 22, 2009
- Passengers who are confirmed on a Full Y class Economy ticket

Hi Stoneman, How did you get this £195 rate, if I may ask? Was it the australian expedia mistake/ loophole/ whatever? I know they are honouring this since I keep reading about MSEs who flew with it. I hope you have found another way to get cheap rates... TIA.0 -
