US Airways are no Ryan Air . £336 is a good price IMO and the plane we flew over to Philly with them on was fine . it had a seat config of 2-4-2 . leg room in front was fine . i can live with not a huge amount of leg room , what i really really hate is sitting next to strangers or even worse being blocked in by strangers .

i found pre booking my seats with them okay , so bag 2 seats on their own and have a great time in Vegas .

Thanks for the reply. I've only been on short flights to Europe up til now and know that he can only just fit in the normal seats (and the row in front have no option to put their seats back!).
Has anyone flown Premium Economy with Virgin? Is it worth the extra £650 each that it will cost for the extra legroom? Maybe we could just upgrade him and I could still go economy? Although thats not much of a start to the honeymoon! Just goes against the grain to pay that much.

Get to check in as early as you can (twilight check in at Gatwick if you can) and pay for the exit row seats or the extra legroom seats...far less expensive and plenty of leg room. We've flown PE and it's not worth £650 each especially on the Vegas route.

OK I've started my trip report. Again I will try to include as much detail as possible as I know that people who haven't been before want to know prices, etc. If there's any questions or you would like me to check something out while I'm here, please ask and I'll do my best.

    Luci,

Thanks for the link to the trip report, this is certainly going to be one of the most comprehensive reports we've seen for a while. I can't wait for the next installment.

    Thanks again.

Thanks for the link, Luci - I enjoyed reading the last edition and have enjoyed reading this one so far.

On the Star Trek slots (congrats on your wins!), I read in another forum - if you want to see some of the other games (that you need lots of medals for), put in the username dennycrane (William Shatner's character Boston Legal) - had nearly 200 medals when we left and had unlocked all of the games that are available at the moment. We learned that you can't log in with this user ID if using your TR card though as Harrahs has a deal with the manufacturer to allow your TR card to be your ID. You won't win more, but you can see some of the other variations of the main game and bonus rounds. :)

Also can anyone advise on a trip around the Grand Cayon by car, we were planning to do this before moving onto LV but having looked at Google maps it says it takes about 8 hrs to get round the GC and then it would take another 7 hrs to get to LV( this is from the southern rim but we would be going in from the direction of Flagstaff). If this is the case I think we may have to change our plans. Many thanks in advance!

Day trip to the canyon is easily dobale from Vegas http://vegasuncovered.wordpress.com/2008/08/14/self-drive-day-trip-from-las-vegas-to-the-grand-canyon/
Its Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time

I'm not sure you would want to drive around the GC if that is what you are asking? I would think that the south rim on its own would be enough to serve the purpose of visiting the GC.

I was wondering about that, it's just when we put GC into google maps it gives you a route around the canyon and says it takes 8hrs plus, never having been before I just took this was right but having read a bit more realise some people visit the east rim and it seems to be getting a bit confusing!

The South Rim is the one you want to go to I think...I don't think you would gain that much hitting the other rims as the South Rim is the 'main' one. :)
