The Bellagio FountainsTried it once. Hubby hated it so I had to drink his too. It was OK, very sweet and I normally like sweet things, could drink it again, but wouldn't rave about it. Maybe it's an acquired taste to maybe I should try it again.
though you do have to enjoy tequila I suppose! Plus the added bonus of actually being in Las Vegas helps too
AND the fact that its only 99c!
:hello:My name is Steff and I am a Vegas Addict :j0 -
The Bellagio FountainsOut of interest, what is the going rate for tipping for 99c margaritas? I think I tipped $2 for the 2 which is 100%.0

Sounds about right to me Luci.
Last year I was really embarassed when an American friend tipped a cocktail waitress on the casino floor $1 for four drinks needless to say she waited a looooong time for her next one.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
Hey everyone,
I am off to Vegas for the first time one week today! Leaving Heathrow with Continental, connecting in Houston and staying at the Luxor.
Myself and a friend are going to take in the Ricky Hatton fight while we are there but if anyone has any must-sees or any tips i'm all ears! I realise there will be quite a few and reading this thread has been great.
Thanks.0 -

Ohh.. I always worry over tipping!
Room porters, in restaurants etc etc.. don't begrudge it - just never know what is the 'right' amount0 -

i see mention of the Miss USA finals - the girls are parading about all over the place
you'll see them walking around with millions of cameras, even if you don't get to see the finals!! we saw the current Miss USA with them all in Planet Ho last Thursday
I had breakfast alongside all 50 Miss USA contestants in the Spice Market buffet last Sunday!Needless to say, they must have been up since 5am doing their hair and makeup!
i can't see how, as standards for food are so high in America alone, let alone Vegas!, but I genuinely believe Spice Market buffet made me ill - i was sick the following night and felt crap all the next daygutted - we got in just before they closed (9:30pm) and they were clearing stuff away whilst we were trying to put it on our plates... the choice was not there and i felt the standard was not as good as Mandalay (lunch) Buffet....
I really can't see what you can expect regarding choice if you didn't decide to eat until they were almost closed! Do you honestly expect them to continue cooking food right up until the end, and throw masses of uneaten product away?re: cheap PAYG mobile phones, Walmart definitely had some for $29.99 - can't remember what they were and if credit was included but remember seeing them as i dashed for the booze section
Best Buy has a Virgin Mobile PAYG handset for $15, I have one and its perfectly adequate.Stoneman - hope you get the Dodge Charger!we booked one but ended up being 'upgraded' to a Chrysler 300
absolutely gutted
Go for the upgrade if you get it. The Charger is pretty much identical, interior wise, as the 300, but has a pathetic (by US standards) 2.7 litre V6 which struggles and revs too much. I had a new Charger last week (first time, I usually get a 300), with delivery mileage (14 miles), and the auto gearbox 'shunt' was terrible sometimes.
A 300 is altogether more quieter and smoother with a 3.5 litre V6. Gas prices are down again in the US, so don't let a bigger engine put you off. A 300 is by far a prettier car in any event! Dodge Magnums fall into the same class as a 300 too (Its just a 300 estate with a Charger-eque face)0 -
I would like to see Bette Midler when we are there next month. I have had a quick look and the cheapest tickets I can find are $140 and these really are cheap tickets, couldn't be any further back or higher up. Does anyone have any tips on buying show tickets. Many thanks0

The Bellagio FountainsThe Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas NV
Travel dates: Performances through April 5 & May 27 - June 28

We would normally expect performances by a huge star like Bette Midler to be sold out well in advance. But for a very limited time, you can get tickets to see The Divine Miss M and save over $40 on tickets to her show, "The Showgirl Must Go On."
For performances through April 5 and May 27 - June 28, you can get First Mezzanine seats for only $86.36 (reg. $127.27) or Rear Orchestra seats for $127.27 (reg. $159.09). It's like getting a FREE upgrade.
Don't miss out on your chance to see Bette Midler in the only venue spectacular enough to hold her, The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Performances are at 7:30PM Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and tickets must be booked by April 3.
Click here for more information and to purchase tickets. Select the performance you would like to attend by clicking "Find Tickets." Under "Promotions and Special Offers", select the number of tickets desired, pick the $86.36 or $127.27 price level, enter promo code UPGRADEME and click "Look for Tickets."
Try this link from Travelzoo. The nosebleed section seats were fine when we saw Cher last year.
Whoops! Sorry i think it's out of date. Says they must be booked by April 3rd, but the link still works.0 -

we've been to In-n-Out twice (once in LA, once here)...I love them...everything is fresh, potatoes are cut in the kitchen where you can see them...love it.
We also grabbed one of the $5 foot long Subways from O'shea's to share other day - the sign said that from sometime mid-April they were doing away with that promotion but there would be a new promotion where a selection of foot longs would be $5 rather than all of them.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
