The Bellagio FountainsGuys,
I want to book tickets to 2 shows specifically, for my stay in Vegas, namely Love and Tom Jones.
Is it worth sorting these out in the UK before flying or are there deals to be had if i hold out and get them when i arrive?
If its worth sorting them out over here what are reputable ticket companies?
Thanks
You can get Love tickets at the moment at 50% off if you go to the box office in person, but no idea how long this offer will be on for.0 -

Was speaking to a work mate today who had done the Vegas thing and suggested securing your accommodation as a walk-in. You give any hotel address to get your travel visa thingy and you get the best deals on the day. She said there is no way you wouldn't get a room in Vegas cos of the size of the hotels and everything. Her and her partner got rooms in MGM for $13 a night this way.
Although this sounds amazing, and I trust the person totally, I'm not typically a lucky type lol so not mega confident with the idea, but thought I'd get opinions, if anyone wishes to give them.
Personally, Vegas is one place I wouldn't travel to without a reservation and definitely not at the weekend. There may be bargains at the moment with the economy, but the offers around at the moment are so good that I would book in advance.
It's up to you though if you want to traipse from one hotel to another with luggage trying to get a bargain. You will need a taxi to do that and that would add to the cost of your "bargain". You are more likely to be offered rack rate which is much higher.0 -

I may be wrong, but I reckon this is a bad idea.
If you go to the hotel and the rates are not good, do you realise how long it will take to get to the next hotel, then the next etc.
Plus, if you book a refundable deal you can just keep on checking in advance until something amazing comes up, then just cancel your previous booking.
I don't think anyone here will recommend this tactic in Vegas, let's wait for the replies......
EDIT: Oh, and I don't believe anyone who says they got a room for $13 as a walk-in0 -

If you must see Tom Jones and he's playing specific dates when you're out there i'd book them now to just on the safe side as they weren't discounted while we were out there last week and it was a sell out show. Having said that we simply booked them through the Bellagio concierge the afternoon before seeing him and had no problems getting middle of the theatre seats (guess the show sold out last minute).0 -
The Bellagio FountainsStaying @ MGM Grand...? Tickets for 40% off KA are available...
Indeed, times are tough and this backs up a tip that I believe Luci has given before...While staying at the MGM Grand last week, I was flipping through the TV channels and came across this.
They are offering a 40% discount to hotel guests of the MGM Grand to see Ka. You must contact the concierge desk for details.
can't take any credit and no idea how long this will go on for, but see here for more info (including seats to avoid)

Agree with the others and think this is actually covered in the first post on the thread...sure, there will likely be rooms available somewhere at some price (assuming you aren't going over a very busy time) but would you be comfortable not knowing what price you would be paying or where you would be staying until you get there? If you would be happy with the potential of arriving and being hit with a much higher than expected hotel charge then go for it...it could be that you'll get a great deal, but there's no guarantee. I do like to gamble, but this isn't one I would touch.
I'm also highly skeptical of a $13 room at MGM, but perhaps in the middle of summer or Christmas week or something when it's dead...if they're hoping that the guests will gamble or spend in the restaurants or shops...maybe...pretty sure it would cost at least that for the maid to make up the room so no benefit on the hotel side for letting it go for that price.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The StratosphereHi all,
This offer is proving to be very popular - not surprising really!
Just an update - I have emailed the offer to everyone who has PM'ed me - so watch out for it in your inboxes!
It really is a cracking deal and I hope some of you can benefit from it.
Steff
thanks a lot steff, i booked the 28th May for three nights (weekend) and got an all in price of $500 and a $50 resort credit. I think that is a bargain for the luxury spend........just have to be careful now on spending money!! lol0 -
