Steff - thanks so much for the offer. We've been looking for a good deal for the Wynn for our dates at the end of May for a while now. After loving it there last year, there was only one choice for this trip.
But with the Wynn and Encore being the same price we now have a bit of a dilemma...
Quite fancy trying out a shiny new Encore suite but not sure on how far it is from the Wynn. I know the buildings don't look that far apart but, as we found out last year, appearances are usually deceptive! Does anyone know if the two lobbies are connected in some way (as opposed to having to go outside one and back in again) and how long it takes to walk between the two?

You're welcome hazey! Hope you get a good deal.
I see that crombie has answered most of your questions - I'm afraid I cant be of much help as the last time I was in Vegas (July 08) The Encore wasnt open so I am not sure how far away they are from each other - they look close together as you say!
I would definately choose to stay at The Encore only because I have already stayed at the Wynn and whilst I ADORE it - I cant wait to try out the newer version to see which I prefer!

When are you actually going? I know someone who is staying at the Encore in 2 weeks time so can update you if still needed.

I remember the Wynn being very near the Fashion mall and it kept playing that annoying ipod music last Oct, dont think i could take that if i heard it everyday lol

    Hazey,

The two are connected with a walkway with shops, its a shortish walk, about five minutes and its got some nice chandaliers to admire along the way.

This is us all over - choice between the two - Encore was the only option we considered. Can't wait to try it out two weeks tomorrow! I just hope this time the bed isn't so comfy that I fall asleep about 9pm and don't wake up until morning...
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    ...Oooohh, you lucky souls!
I am hugely envious of everyone going to stay there - hope you have a fab time and PLEASE let me know after what your thoughts are?
I know what you mean about the Wynn beds - my gosh! Its like sleeping on a fluffy white cloud. If my case had been bigger one of those HUGE square pillows would have mysteriously gone missing.... (just kidding!!)

For a special meal, try Olives at Bellagio and request a table on the patio when you get there. I've eaten there loads of times now and i always get goosebumps when the fountains start up. The food is lovely and it won't break the bank either.

Yep, agree with Olives. Really enjoyed our meal when we went, even though we ate inside. I imagine the patio would be amazing.

Absolutely, best pillows ever - I threatened to do it...but thought better of it in the end...they DO sell them in the gift shop but they are insanely expensive. :)

Haha, yeah. That did get quite annoying although never failed to bring a smile as it almost forced you to strut in time with the beat when you walked by :) Thank goodness you couldn't hear it from the safety of the Wynn though!
