    Hi guys,

Not long to my Vegas trip and was just wondering the best way to go regarding $. When I've visited the States before I have always took travellers cheques (2 week hols) or cash for a short stay in New York, but obviously cash is king in Vegas, but don't fancy having loads of cash on me.

You can cash travellers cheques at any casino cage...so if FairFX doesn't work out, there's no reason you can't take travellers cheques and cash what you want each day.

Edited to add - if you have time to get a Nationwide FlexAccount, that's our 'normal' way of taking cash while in Vegas and even with the small fees they are adding shortly it's a pretty safe way to deal with travel money...though with FairFX you've already locked in the exchange rate when you load it - with the Nationwide you get the bank rate on the day you make a withdrawl.

    Hi Everyone

Due to fly to Vegas for the first time in a couple of weeks!

When DH and I normally go away, we can specd quite a while dithering on where to eat, so I wondered if anyone could give some recommendations?

I realise that there are hundreds of places to go, but to get some 'experienced views' on it would be great!

We plan to have a 'posh' dinner one night, and then would prefer casual dining for the rest of our time there.

Also, my DH is a BIG breakfast fan - any recommendations for brekkie?

    Thanks
    Whitters

For a special meal, try Olives at Bellagio and request a table on the patio when you get there. I've eaten there loads of times now and i always get goosebumps when the fountains start up. The food is lovely and it won't break the bank either.

Venus and Temple Pools, and Snackus Maximus Snack Bar are now officially open for the season!

The remaining pools in the Garden of the Gods expansion will be unveiled summer 2009.

    Hi all,

This offer is proving to be very popular - not surprising really!

Just an update - I have emailed the offer to everyone who has PM'ed me - so watch out for it in your inboxes!

It really is a cracking deal and I hope some of you can benefit from it.

Steff - thanks so much for the offer. We've been looking for a good deal for the Wynn for our dates at the end of May for a while now. After loving it there last year, there was only one choice for this trip.

But with the Wynn and Encore being the same price we now have a bit of a dilemma...

Quite fancy trying out a shiny new Encore suite but not sure on how far it is from the Wynn. I know the buildings don't look that far apart but, as we found out last year, appearances are usually deceptive! Does anyone know if the two lobbies are connected in some way (as opposed to having to go outside one and back in again) and how long it takes to walk between the two?

Also, from the website, it doesn't look like the Encore has its own pool, so I assume that it shares the Wynn pools - again, does anyone know how easy they are to get to from the Encore?

    Thanks

    Hi Hazey

I have just rebooked Encore and saved a few quid thanks to Steff :T . Here is a link to the Wynn resort map

    http://www.encorelasvegas.com/pdf/about_propertymap.pdf

The properties are linked by an Esplanade and Encore does have its own pools . I have read that they can be iffy about Wynn guest using the Encore pools but not so much the other way around .

    Cheers
