Does anyone know why the depeche mode tickets are so expensive or if there will be any cheaper tickets released
    http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/1700425BB71C684C/

It's a tiny venue (max 2500 seats, sometimes less depending on configuration) - so an 'exclusive' show...not quite in the same league as Paul McCartney of course, but I would expect tickets would sell out in minutes after the general onsale starts. I would sincerely doubt that there will be much in the way of cheaper tickets available.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I did, crazy! When I heard I was ever so glad we hadn't cancelled our Valentine's Day dinner plans to stay in and try to get tickets right when they went on sale as we were planning to do at one point leading up to it. :)

Yeah the hype nowadays surrounding tickets sales & "how quick they sell out" is ridiculous not to mention the prices.

It takes alot longer than 7 SECS to complete the payment details alone.

But if you go to the Hard Rock website you can buy a nice wee package for $1500 - 1 night accomodation at HR on night of gig and 2 tickets oh and not to forget the VIP line pass.

I mean U2 - one of my favourite bands - playing Hampden Park in Glasgow - my ticket (standing) cost £55 +fees - reasonable at todays rates but the prices of the seats were £30 (probably only a few hundred of those), £85 & £150  GET A GRIP but unfortunately alot of the older bands seem to think it's ok to charge these prices now.

not sure if it's the same with ticketmaster.co.uk - but on the US site you can create an account with your payment details and then proceed very quickly to purchase tickets without having to enter payment details...I think most people planning on buying tickets to an event likely to sell out quickly will take that step. And remember a lot of the tickets were probably sold to people/companies with an intent to resell them - so they know the tricks to get in quick. :)

Yeah, we saw Bon Jovi last year in Manchester and paid about £42 each including all the fees. The gig at the Hardrock Vegas is about $191 per ticket (plus fees I assume), so not far off £150. Won't be going, can't justify it at those prices.

Matt, appreciate that you're not a big poster so I hope you see this when you do your trip report. Who did you book your canyon trip with?

    Poor bloke: questions, questions!

Papillion is the same company I used Link Here I used these guys, and can't quite figure out which tour it was I booked - but anyway we flew over the canyon and landed at the bottom for a champagne breakfeast. It was amazing and such a contrast to The Strip its unreal

Thanks for the heads up, I had already checked that site, but the only convertable they show is the PT Cruser(or similar). I would rather walk!!
We booked thru CH3000 and had a Silver Sebring Convertible thru Thrifty.

Here it is Terrible's has gone into chapter 11

My friends were told that was why they were moved from Terrible's by TC last year. They must have a crystal ball.

I think this may well happen to other Casino operators, be careful that you book refundable offers in the near future.
