I called MGM reservations a couple of days ago because I was concerned I couldn't look up the booking on their website. The guy I spoke to confirmed the reservation and said everything was fine with the booking so I left it at that.

Hi Tony,
thanks for this. When are you going? Did you get a nice cheap room like me? 4 night for £150! Do you have a plyers club card etc?

The Bellagio FountainsI wasn't exactly comparing them, simply stating that as the tickets are 3.5 times the price, I could not justify it, especially as I've seen the same band last year.
It's a good job this pricing system doesn't apply to hotels, like you pay 3 times the price if you stay in a small hotel, rather than a big one !
I totally understand where you're coming from - but many fans would pay quite a lot to see a band that normally plays huge venues in a smaller environment...I've quit going to most big-venue shows because I can't see the point anymore (old, much?) but there are a few bands/artists I would pay quite a lot to see in a 2000-4000 seater venue...not many people would pay loads more to stay in a smaller room as it's really not a comparable thing.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The Secret GardenHi guys,
Quick live report from Vegas for those coming over soon. Went to the Mirage box office yesterday morning (about 10.00am) and asked for deals on Love tickets, got one for that nights performance (9.30) at 50% off.
It was a bit blowy here yesterday but supposed to pick up again today.

Thanks for this - we fly out on Thursday, although we are not getting to Vegas until a week later as we are stopping off in LA first. Hope the weather will be good as it's really sunny here.0 -

Rich
Yes I booked it to and was concerened....I did post on here about it a couple of weeks ago and was advised to ring to confirm even though I have a confirmation e-mail and they have taken payment for the first nights stay...
I rang 3 times...
first time I asked to be put through to reservations and somehow during the transfer of my call I got cut off..
Second time I got put through to reservations and put on hold....no one came back to me so I put the phone down after waiting 8 minutes....
last time I got through and got as far as giving my booking ref was told to hold while they checked the system and then got cut off again
I've given up....I'll risk it:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -

That's the hotel we're going to - how was it? The pics look lovely & I have been told good things about it so any tips/need to knows?
David
Hi to both David & Stoneman!
Strangely enough my second favourite holiday is to Costa Adeje too!!
Myself and my other half go there as our "relaxing" holiday as well. We havent yet stayed at Bahia Princess (it is on our list to visit). We have favoured so far the Costa Adeje Gran Hotel (Near Del Duque beach) sort of at the top - a short walk from Del Duque Shopping Centre. Nice place. My family had (until recently) a time share at "Island Village" - a lovely place till it all changed (so we sold it) - havent been in two years now - a return visit is well overdue!
I have "peered" through the walls of your hotel and it looks lovey and I dont think I have ever heard a negative about it (from memory anyway). Hope you enjoy it!
I think Stoneman answered the question about where "Sugar & Ice" is in the Wynn - deffo worth a visit next time!!

The Secret GardenThanks Steff.
I just got an email from Goldstar.com - they're doing a special on Le Reve - 40% off off - $141.90 seats for $82.50 - dates 29th-30th March, 2nd - 3rd April.
We are going to try see this next time around so it may suit someone who's there just now or maybe someone who's going soon.
On the subject of the ticket prices, I merely pointed out that to say the Paul McCartney tickets sold out in 7 seconds is total hype especially when they have them on the Hard Rock Hotel website as part of an overnight stay package for $1500.
I only mentioned U2 at Hampden because I think ticket prices for gigs is getting beyond a joke now - especially the older bands. They were priced up to £150 for U2 - the same seats cost £60 last time around.
But I do agree that to watch a gig in a smaller venue is always better - unless like me you queue all day to ensure you go a good view within a stadium anyway.0
