The Bellagio Fountainsoh, and I should say that that apple pancake is a one-of-a-kind sort of thing as far as I know...it's baked instead of being cooked on a griddle (not that that makes it more healthy!) but most of the pancake options will be traditional-looking American-style pancakes with various flavours and toppings. My husband cringes when he reads about the bacon pancakes whereas I think they sound delicious as I understand sweet and savoury together and he finds the concept to be an abomination.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

The Bellagio FountainsWe normally tie a trip to the Original Pancake House to a visit to Green Valley Ranch (there's one inside the casino)..then we normally head along to Sunset Station area WalMart to do some shopping there and Galleria Mall...so really, it's purely a matter of convenience for us (well, me) to partake of the apple pancake on our way to do some shopping.
Don't forget restaurant.com vouchers - 80% off at the moment, code is MENU. The GVR one is the one on Paseo Verde though there are others. There are menus on restaurant.com with prices too.
On pancake day last month I made some pancakes and filled them with savoury mince.
Edit
Thanks again just got myself a $10 voucher for 0.60 for the one in the GVR. my mouth is watering already0 -
The Bellagio FountainsThat sounds like a great trip out as I have a sweet tooth, and I dont have a problem with sweet and savoury together.

Excellent! But I would put maple syrup on the bacon pancakes...and then my husband would call a divorce attorney.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

My wife likes the idea of a new Mall as well, we have never been to Galleria. Is that easy to find and is Walmart close to it?0 -
The Bellagio FountainsIt's very easy to find - Galleria is almost across the street from Sunset Station and Wal Mart is across the cross street from Sunset Station...Sunset Station is pretty easy to see from the interstate as is WalMart.
There's a map on Galleria's website...if you come from the 515/93/95 and exit on Sunset you will drive right by WalMart on your left on your way to the mall - they're both right there - big Best Buy too.

Galleria isn't an outlet mall, but it's pretty nice...it is much nicer than Boulevard, certainly.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The Bellagio FountainsYyyyaaaahhhhhooooo!!!! I have finally managed to find a promo which lets me stay at the Encore for one night rather than the 2 night minimums I had been finding.
I have now booked my night, but will keep the room on at Paris and just take our overnight stuff. I am so excited as I have been sssoooooo wanting to stay there. I was on the verge of booking 2 nights and only staying for one which seemed such as waste.0 -
OK, we've decided to hire a car this time for our week in Vegas and looking for a few suggestions to make the most of it. We don't normally venture off-strip (except Freemont St) so would like to do a few things that we've not done before, such as:
* Days out (Valley of Fire, Red Rock Canyon ?)
* Hotels / Casinos (Green Valley, South Point ?)
* Restaurants / buffets (In-N-Out, Ellis Island, Terribles ?)
* Activities (Gun store, Mystery Adventures ?)
* Shopping Malls
I don't really want to clog up the thread so I don't mind a few PMs if that's better for everyone.
Many thanks in advance.0 -
timster123 wrote: »Hi, i just wondered what people thought of this deal to Las Vegas posted on Travelzoo's top 20 deals of the week.
It's flights and 5 nights in the Bellagio hotel for £530 in June, i know that flights with Virgin are usually more than that at that time of year, so it seems like a good deal.
Are there any catches i should be aware of? I can only think of the flight not being direct.
Would it still be cheaper if i booked everything separately?
If i did want to go with it i have to book by March 16th so i'd really appreciate any advice.

Current cheapest airfare for those dates £307 inc tax with US air to give you a starting point
If you really want the Bellagio it's a pretty good deal but overall if you are flexaibe with the hotel I reckon you could do better but still stay somewhere very nice.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
The Volcano @ MirageI also really look forward to the free refills on soft drinks...it's a minor thing, but it pleases me to no end.
My Dad is a lovley fella but being brought up in the war is very thrifty (please note thrifty not tight) and does not waste anything, he was not aware of the free refill thing and his glass kept being filled he didnt want to leave anything nor did he want to offend the waitress filling his glass so he kept drinking and drinking and drinking and then had to spend the erst of the day going to the loo.Its Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time0 -
