I do like casinos with natural light -seems to be the lower down the scale ones that have it-like Gold Coast & Riv so be interesting to see how it's handled up scaleI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

The Bellagio Fountainshere's the Peppermill ham & eggs - the colours of the scan are a bit off - the eggs were not actually slightly flourescent green...I only have a hard copy of this from my in-laws so had to work with what I had...and yeah, the bowl of scrambled eggs is sat on top of the rest of the ham. Rather alarmingly I think there were also hash browns and toast with this. Ridiculous!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

It may be that the one at Ellis Island is a lot better value though - Peppermill's was $13.95 I think...if EI is only $5.99 and of similar quality, there's no competition. And in reality, if you're only going to finish less than half, the massive portions are a bit of a waste...but they are funny to see.

The Bellagio FountainsSo far I haven't found my picture of the Ellis Island Ham and Eggs, although it comes on an oval plate and hangs over the sides. It also has hash browns and toast with it. Looking at ferf's picture, the Peppermill might just win on size, but they are very close, and the thickness of the cut looks similar.
Stoneman, it's good to know that about the Ihop breakfasts.0 -
The Bellagio FountainsSounds like the EI one is the one to beat in terms of value!
I found this one of Peppermill's eggs benedict...another ridiculous portion...tasty enough, though both Paris and Wynn breakfast buffets do them better.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The Bellagio Fountains.. or do most of us "Vegas-ites" love our food?!!..
I have to say that one of the MANY things I look forward to is the gorgeous food over there! Everything seems to taste so much better than here - even the run of the mill stuff. As has been said the portion sizes are amazing - especially given the prices - its unbelievable.
The array of food is something that amazes me too - the buffets with everything laid out looking scrummy - mmm. You can tell its nearly lunchtime cant you?!
I like the look of them pancakes ferf and also rate Peppermills as a place to put on everyones "to do" list at least once!

The next morning, we were both up early. We went ahead and got dressed. I had EIlis Island ACG coupons and decided to put them to use. We walked through the shopping area that leads to the pool and monorail to use the rear exit. We saw a lot of interesting stores: a jewelry store that sells everything in lots for $20 called 20ENTY by Alexander Kalifano, Bijoux Terner and an NBC show testing storefront promising show tickets for testing shows. They were all closed that early in the morning, though. We made it to Ellis Island and were seated with no wait. Grandma initially wanted a special on the menu for biscuits and gravy, eggs and bacon or sausage for $3.99 but it ended at 6AM. She went for two eggs and a side of bacon that came with potatoes and toast for $4.49 and coffee. I ordered the country ham which also came with eggs, potatoes and toast for $5.99 and the delicious home brewed root beer.0
