Have been looking to book Flamingo (still haven't done it!!!!!), but would you recommend Ballys over Flamingo??
ferf loves Ballys, But she was very honest in her summing up of the 2. You did ask for a good pool and there is no comparison between flamingo and Ballys. Just one thing Ferf didnt mention, Ballys and Flamingo are next door to each other (except for a very small "Bills" in between).

I mention that, as you asked after Ellis Island was mentioned so it doesnt make that much difference to the distance to there.

Has anyone stayed in Imperial Palace? Was looking to go there on a weekend in April. All the other places are expensive for my budget. Next option was Flamingo's which looks to be next door to Imperial?
Fantastic location but thats about all. I would choose Flamingo over IP any day. Pool at IP is rubbish and yes it is next door

I see Ferf mentions....Bellagio conservatory and lobby (Chihuly glass sculpture on ceiling cost over $1,000,000) as a free sight to see, just to add,if you go there (which is a must IMO), just behind the conservatory is the worlds largest chocolate fountain attached to a pattiserie that does fantastic crepes etc.

Ferf...I notice you say you are a dollar express member. Just checked and it is free to join (have to give credit card details tho)is it worth joining even if you rent through a 3rd party or does the rental have to be direct with them?

I honestly don't know since I normally rent direct...I do know that I made a reservation with Dollar recently without logging into my Express account first...then emailed them to ask them to add the Express number to the reservation and they did. So I suppose it's possible if the 3rd party gives you a Dollar confirmation number, you could maybe contact Dollar to add an Express number to the booking? Or possibly call them to add it to the booking? It used to be the case that they would send new members two upgrade coupons (to the next class of car, if available) when they sent your membership pack...not sure if they still do or if it would matter if you booked through a 3rd party.

    Hi Guys,

We're getting our bits n bobs ready as we go on Wedneday for a week.

As yet we only have 1 show planned - Cher on Sunday 15th.

We have been looking at the 25% off the Cirque show Love & looking at Cat 3 tickets - roughly $173 for both of us. Now there are 2 shows at the weekends - for those who have been do you feel is there much difference between the early/late show in terms of atmosphere etc?

Also, the arena looks quite small so I assume that there really isn't a bad place in the house? Every time I select Cat 3 it gives me Block 305 row EE. Now thinking back to Ka last year we were quite far back & this meant we didn't miss anything - is this the case with this show?

Oh & 1 last thing. British sport - does anyone know where you'd be able to find any live footie - my team (Celtic) are in a cup final next week & I'd like to catch it although I'm not holding out much hope.

    Cheers

I was going to mention that. Last time we stayed there it seemed that the bar near the registration desks was always showing footie
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
