First off, the Go room is better than any room you can get at MGM except for the suites (and I think it's better than the Hollywood), it is in a better location as well.

Funny I have stayed in Celbrity Spa and Hollywood suite and I would put the Hollywood above the celebrity Spa and bothe above th Bungalow. The GO rooms dont do it for me I don't like the style but that is personal prefernce I am not say thing that they are bad just as I dont like the West Wing Rooms at MGM.

Sorry, it was the Celebrity Spa I meant to say the "Go" was better than, don't know about the bungalow, never stayed in one. Yeah, just a matter of opinion, we kinda like the "in your face" style of the Go. You just have to wear your sunglasses walking down the corridor, all that pink!!!
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

For anyone in town on 19th April, Paul McCartney has been announced to play The Joint at Hard Rock...tickets are said to be going on sale this coming Saturday...we are currently in discussions as to whether cancelling our Valentine's dinner plans in order to have any shot at all of getting tickets is worthwhile or not. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I am off to Vegas in less than two weeks time, and was wondering if anyone can give advice on a couple of things. Going for the DH 30th and staying at the MGM. I read somewhere that as the MGM is so big there are a couple of shortcuts to save you time getting around the hotel. Where would I find this out or is there some kind of map that I can find? Also can anyone recommend any companies that do Grand Canyon tours - we would like to do a helicopter tour, with the opportunity to land in the GC. As it is my DH 30th I was wondering how others have celebrated their birthday in Vegas (I am hoping to get some ideas from those who visit Vegas and have celebrated in Vegas as we are both Vegas virgins!)

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Try Vegas Casino Info for maps of Vegas properties. They have PDF and jpg images of most of the casinos.

There is a shorcut at the MGM, it gets you from one side of the building to the other. I had to look back to last years trip report to find it, pasted below.

"To make a quick exit to the strip and avoid the casino at the MGM use the corridor that leads from the West Wing bar round the back and out by the high limit poker room"

If you go out the doors by the West Wing bar and turn left its only a hundred yeards (if that) to get on the strip. I used it quite a bit and avoided walking round the crowded casino to get to the strip.

One of my friends in Vegas was speaking to some of the architects on this and they said that months ago they had decided that this was going to be half the height as they have had little interest in selling condos at city centre and the top half was to be all condos.
