Hi all,
Is it too late for me to join in? I have 2 boys age 2 and 6.
Think It would help give me the kick up the backside i need to get more organised lol I really ned to be more organised with preparing dinner and remembering to take some meat out of the freeer! It is full of reduced meat, but i'm not very good at remembering to defrost it, so then usually have to do something like sausages or fish fingers (not too bad I know, but don't like to give them all the time!) or if things are really desperate, weetabix, toast, fruit and youghurt! I really need to be more organised in preparing dinner during the day, as I work 3 evenings a week and after picking ds 1 up from school and getting home, i have 1 1/2 hours to get dinner prepared, cooked, eaten and me ready for work and to have a quick tidy up bfor babysittr arrives (dh gets in about 1 hour after i leave!)
I also want to get into a routine of doing certain chores on certain days-might make it feel like less of the mammoth task it seems!!0 -
I have got a bit more organised this weekend
Today I have made a tub of yoghurt / loaf of bread ready for lunch; zested all the oranges in my fruit bowl and got the boys to make orange juice; made all the beds; put washing on; cleaned bathroom. It didn't take too long today as I had a good blitz yesterday.
Aim to have got the ironing done after lunch but am taking the boys out bowling this morning then might fit in some garden games before lunch-time.
Am determined to get organised but not to make it rule my life!
Sausages and veg for dinner tonight (we are OS every other day of the week!!!)
Have also sorted out the cereal cupboard this morning and put all those little 1/2 bags of cereals on a tray so that can sit on the table every morning and be used up before we crack open new boxes of cereals ... it's amazing what we've discovered in there! The boys have already bag-sied the bag of cornflakes for some cornflake crispies later on, using up a bashed up Easter egg in the process.0
