    Good Afternoon All!
Well, I've done it - handed over all the school keys to my successor this morning, so am finally a free woman! Feels very strange actually, and I felt quite emotional about the whole thing! It will be very odd not going back to school next week....
Still, much more time to be OS now - need to save the pennies so we can travel a bit and enjoy our retirement.
I truly hope you will all have a peaceful and happy 2009. None of us knows what challenges we're about to face, but there must be opportunities out there too! ((HUGS)) to all feeling sad, lonely or unwell today.
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!
  • Halight – certainly been some year for you! Sorry to hear it ended with you losing your job, hope that you soon find a new one (and that you do too Jorgan)
Yorkshirechick – fantastic year for you too, congratulations!
Tillitot - they make us newbies very welcome on here!
Congratulations on your retirement Beemuzed, hope it is a long and happy one.
We will be joining those staying in tonight, watching Jools Holland and toasting the New Year with a bottle of champagne bought for DH’s 65th birthday a few weeks ago.
Hope you all have a very happy and healthy new year and that those who need it find comfort in the love and support of family and friends.
  • Hello Again

No bargains to be had in Iceland today - was so busy dont think there was enough staff. Oh well, did manage to get the Party In for £10 from M&S so that is what we will be having tonight plus some egg sandwiches. Have loads of cheese and bisuits left too so will be a picky night.

Had a lovely lunch and DD is very pleased as bought guitar hero with her savings and Xmas money - DS has no money left but he bought DD's 2nd hand ipod touch so he is more than happy too.

Have done some ironing today but think will go and do a little more now then veg in front of the telly.

Tru, your hot sauce collection is incomplete. You don’t appear to have any Wow-Wow Sauce. For details of how to make it, see http://wiki.lspace.org/wiki/Wow-Wow_Sauce I wouldn’t want you to miss out! *Wonders if Sybil has tried it….*
Nooooooooooooooooo, no more :rotfl: Mr tru has 24 different hot sauces (I've just counted them), they take up half a shelf in the cupboard and I'm running out of room :D He was offered a mega-hot rare capsicum crystal (16 million scoville units ) from the owner of THIS COMPANY but he turned it down :D

It started snowing as I left the house this morning, I was :j then 3 minutes later it stopped  It's stayed frosty and white all day though, and I'm amazed at how many cobwebs are in the garden :D

FIL actually changed the litter tray this week :T I think I'm slowly making progress with him :D

I've been really busy, I cleared out half a cupboard then sat and watched 2 episodes of CSI NY :rotfl:

I have to clean out the animals now, see ya later

Just popped in to see what everyone is up to for the New Year celebrations.
Not much happening here, I will be doping the dog later in readiness for the fireworks, poor boy he gets so upset. I can't drink because of my medication but I shall raise a virtual G&T to you all.
Have a Happy New Year, hope it brings peace, health and happiness to all.
    Enjoy the evening.

Happy New Year Folks. I have used OS before ( for your excellent tips) but never posted. What a creative lot you are! And good typists too, to write such long posts!

I have had a lazy day! You'll enjoy these, beemuzed, without thinking about getting reports done etc.

Not going out, but looking forward to a lovely biriani. I am fed up of Christmassy food. Soooo cold here, but the trees are beautiful, strewn with cobwebs like delicate, white fairy lace.

Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

  • Hello all, DH and I went to look at a house today *sigh* it was so nice but just too far from where I'm posted in July for me to commute- it was like the ultimate window shopping though, if it was this time next year we would have put in an offer.

Money saving Diva- it is hard when family aren't speaking to you, please persevere, I am trying hard but have still only spoken to my brother once in the last two years and that was at my beloved, darling grandmothers funeral. I don't know what the situation is in your case but my thoughts are with you.

Love to all, happy happy new year.
