I haven't been around or posting much because sadly my Dad died totally out of the blue on Christmas Saturday. I didn't post because I didn't want to bring people down. Anyway I'm posting now because smokybabe has noticed my absence. Bless you:A I'm coming to terms with it, and am incredibly busy trying to sort things out, from 200 miles away a bit difficult. I won't have internet access for the next couple of days as I'll be at Dad's house, to register the death and start sorting. He's with Mum now and will be much happier for that.
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year.

And bless your heart, stefe:D So many people seem to be very anti the police these days. He doesn't really mind working tonight, just wishes that everyone would realise he and his colleagues are just trying to keep everyone safe, so all can have a good time. I shall tell him of your comment, it will please him:kisses3:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

In case I don't get time to post before I leave tomorrow, I'd just like to thank you for the lovely support I've received tonight. I hesitated to post because Christmas is a happy time and I had no wish to drag people down, but I have to say your support and well wishes mean an awful lot. I'm sat here crying, a mixture of sadness and joy. I'm under no illusion that there are hard times ahead, but I've just survived the first of the "firsts". Special thanks to those friends that have PM'd me. You will never know how much that has meant to me. God bless you all, and Happy New Year to everyone.
A special mention here to a new friend mudgekin. I've caught up with threads that tell of the devastating news you and Dh have received. My prayers and hopes are with you, and thank you so much for your concern when you have so much to deal with yourselves.:kisses3:
